I'm still waiting for these jerkoffs to explain to me how the WTC buildings were rigged for demolition without anyone noticing.

Stop asking for specifics. These nuts thrive on "unanswered questions." Remember, it doesn't matter how asinine the question is. What is important is that they have asked the question, and if you can't answer it, their feeble minds see it as evidence that their kooky theories are correct.

They won't answer that because they can't. However, it doesn't matter to them. In their minds your questions are irrelevant. Only their stupid "unanswered questions" matter.

According to the English couple, the planes were holograms.

David Copperfield was involved!? *snicker*

I have listened in on Alex Jones's radio program. Because of his gruff voice and blatant statements, my first impression was that he is some wild reactionary. But after analyzing what he is for and what he is against, I began to realize that he is against practically everything and for practically nothing. So I began to wonder if he is intentionally using people's ignorant fears as a tool to destroy conservatism (and as a means for enriching himself in the process).

His blatant claims about a controlled destruction of the twin towers AFTER they were struck by planes is so incredibly stupid that I cannot fathom why he has so many believers. "Incredibly stupid" is how I would characterize any setting up of devices for controlled demolition when the effects of flying large airliners loaded with fuel into the buildings supposedly prepared for demolition were not known. Such massive destruction could have easily wiped out key parts for the supposed LATER controlled demolition.

Alex Jones's radio guests are only those who are willing to go along with his "inside job" theory. His screening system for callers must be working well for him. I have never heard a caller questioning any aspect of his ridiculous theory.

Although it is wise to leave judgments about the motives of people to the Judge of us all, in these dangerous times, I also think it is wise to regard Alex Jones as someone who is becoming a danger, whatever his motives are. He loves to stir up distrust, without just cause, of decent conservatives in positions of power in the federal government, which I regard as a welcome relief from the wickedness of the Clinton Administration.

Actually, it was Abul Nidal, whom you'll remember took part in the Achilli Lauro hijacking that killed poor Leon Klinghoffer. Abu Nidal was a guest of Saddam's before Gulf War II.

I was working in NYC this past Monday, 9/11! Most people who weren't directly affected by deaths in the WTC were at work, not hanging around the site sporting conspiracy t-shirts.

Your theory about refining their trial balloons here was quite an epiphany. I could never figure out why recent and even old sign-up-date trolls post their silly notions even though they must know they are going to be torn to shreds. Makes sense in a twisted way but makes me even more reluctant to feed the trolls!

I didn't realize it at the time myself. I just thought they were stupid. Now it's pretty clear that they were looking for phrases that really resonated, and just look how the sickness has spread.

It's water under the bridge at this point, but I am still terribly wary of anyone who recommends "Scholars for 9/11 Truth" or "Loose Change" on the basis of the "interesting questions it addresses, not that I believe all of it of course", and then refuses to mention what it is that they find so very interesting. It makes me wonder what they're really after. Since none of them want to discuss the "interesting questions", it's not discussion or answers they want, is it?

Good g-d ....... the first time I've ever watched any of the 911 conspiracy videos was last week.

Missing the initial wagon that dragged this subject through here in '01 I guess that negates talking about it at this point in time.

Sorry to bring it up.

Have any of you , in your lives ever brought up a subject here in FR just to get answers? That's my motivation now. Not to spread some bag of crap theory of mine.

Forgive me for not being the worlds brightest human. If I wanted to be reminded of that I'd simply go ask my wife.

[insert grin here]

I'm hardly a troll...in spite of the fact that my hair has a troll-like quality to it when I wake up first thing in the morning.

I know I should probably drop this and stop feeling so abused ..... but not for a second was I trying to prove any whacko conspiracy concerning 911. If I'm guilty of anything it would be arriving late to the dance.

Ok....so I bought one or two ideas from Loose Change. The fact that we didn't have fighters on the wingtips of the doomed airliners has always had my head itching .... and perhaps the fact that we cannot seem to find an unusually tall raghead carrying around a dialysis machine in the hills of nowheresville.

But I know human nature and I am sure those thoughts have rolled around most of your noggins too ... at some point.

Perhaps the thing I most object to in this thread is being lumped in with the subvertives simply because I had a few questions. Check the history of my posts here. I'm no troll. If anything I figured I'd get zotted over my endless rant against radical islam. To see me get put in the same bag as liberals ... blech ..... I had to take a long, screamingly hot shower after that one.

So ... all this to say ..... wel...I don't know what else to say

hehe, I had to mention that tinfoil hat theory about the IRA's bombing campaign of Britain was really done by the British secret service!

You know something, why aren't these moonbats interested in real conspiracies?

**The problem here, had some of you actually viewed their film ... beyond the easy, slam dunk crapola ... there are some valid issues raised.**

Watch this video and perhaps some of those 'valid issues' that you have problems with will be resolved. They follow along the Loose Change video and answer each theory with the facts.

I don't think you are, it doesn't hurt to ask questions about major events.

Not so much yourself there Fighting Irish. I was really thinking of some other recent threads I've had the pleasure of joining HellInAHandCart on.

As HellInAHandCart mentions, the conspiracy theories started on 9/12/2001. I used to go at length to dispute them but they came up so often, I lost interest.

HellInAHandCart however, has not lost her fervor and still fights the fight.

The lack of fighters is really no surprise. The air traffic controllers were surprised and did not react to the immediacy the situation required given everything we know now. So by the time they got serious and by the time the military got serious, it was already minutes too late.  That was a mistake not likely to happen again (at least in our lifetimes).

Given that we've only heard audio tape of Osama since the War on Terror began (the videos have been from pre-9/11 or at best, not dateable), I'm not really sure he's still alive.  However, assuming he still is, he's alive because we are engaging the War on Terror with one hand behind our back.  If we could really enter these lawless areas of Pakistan, we might have already had his head on a spike, but geo-political reality is what it is.  And I know people like to look back at WWII as unbridled warfare, but there was political reality there too otherwise Eastern Europe wouldn't have been Communist for 50 years.

I have not been accused of being a troll I'll admit, but I've certainly been thought of as a "shill" for commercial software here.  I prefer the moniker "apologist!"

I would also recommend the original site:

The site that Elyse points to is the second version put out by the "truthers"! LOL!

I was called that by an IRA supporter once, which is ironic when you think about it!! :-P

I'm sure some consider me a shill for MI5....

No, not "simply because you had a few questions". It was simply because you were being deliberately coy. Because you never even asked your questions yesterday, even when pressed, and you never answered anyone else's questions of you.

If you decide to act "furtive as a subvertive", don't whine when people suspect you of being one.
