I've never read so much double-talk in such a short article--he will chose Russian interests first but whines that America doesn't take Russian interests into account, too; the media reflects reality, yet the Americans shouldn't take the media accounts seriously and blah blah blah...

Russia has a declining population, and China's is still growing (though is about to plateau). Soon, China could have the capability of taking over Siberia, or all Russia. Granted, the Chinese do have a history of general nonagression and not taking over others' land by force (at least compared to Europe). However, they saw how Europe developed past them after acquiring land in the New World, so historical trends can change.
