The House voted for the second time in a year to erect a fence along a third of the U.S.-Mexican border, part of a Republican effort to keep illegal immigration an issue before voters.

Anyone taking bets on whether or not the Senate blows a hole in it?
It almost looks like the House is setting the Senate up for a turnover.
Sometime after the elections they'll get around to it.. or not...
I'll believe it when I see it going up...
Then Senate will vote for it when the House agrees to a 2,000 mile door through it.
"The bill passed Thursday doesn't pay for the fence. Republicans, estimating the cost at more than $2 billion, said that will be covered in a later spending bill. Democrats estimated the fence would cost $7 billion.."
I want this fence yesterday! I can only imagine the pork that will be attatched to any appropriations bill for this fence. We'll wind up paying for it a hundred times over after you figure in all the bridges to no where and byrd memorial outhouses, that will be part of any compromise ( read extortion) to get this passed.
If they're going to vote for a fence, why not just go all the way and make it 2000 miles instead of only 700? I'm guessing most illegals will figure out where there is no fence and change routes. It's a start, but not a solution. Of course, the spineless Senate will not pass.
Fence???...what the hell with a fence???...sounds like you can come on down with your cup of coffee, lean on it and talk to the neighbors. Quite playing f'ing word games and build a damn CONCRETE WALL sixty feet high, seventy feet deep, six feet thick with rebar, and razor wire on top...screw your white picket fence...
I've been along AngelesCrestHighway on a motorcycle many times 30+years ago.
Absolutely beautiful back then. Hope they haven't ruined it?
Like the concrete wall idea too.
Like I said zillions of times before, and some may think I`m being facetious: The ONLY way to stop illegals once and for all is to use my patent Hillary scarecrow AKA The "Hellcrow" (ver.2.01)
...After years of scientific research, me and my associates have finally come up with the perfect deterrent to illegal immigration. The Hellcrow ver.2.01 is a scarecrow and so much more.
First off the "Hellcrow" (ver.2.01) comes with the visage of one the most corrupt carpet baggers of all time, namely Hellary Clinton. Inside the Hellcrow ver.2.01 is a chip that is programmed to respond to any detection of tacos from a mile away. Once the detection is made, The Hellcrow ver.2.01 emits a horrifying siren ear splitting shriek that can be heard from upwards of 2000 miles away....
Go to this link to see and hear an actual demonstration....(Does anyone have a link of Hillarys famous screeching "I am sick and tired" speech?)
Too bad it won't make it past the Senate and the RINO in chief.
Awesome graphic!
If this is, as the libs claim, just a ploy to get votes, this means that THIS IS WHAT THE VOTERS WANT. If this is what the voters want, THIS IS WHAT YOUR JOB DICTATES YOU ARE TO DO.
I'll believe it when I see it completed, along with armed guards enforcing it.
I'll believe they're truly serious about it (and not just appeasing us) when 1) they eliminate all social programs, welfare, medical, housing, education, for the crimigrants.
When 2) they vigorously prosecute companies and homeowners who employ the crimigrants.
When 3) they abolish the "anchor baby" travesty.
When they deport all who are here illegally.
"When 2) they vigorously prosecute companies and homeowners who employ the crimigrants."
If they did this, we wouldn't need a fence. They know this, and will do nothing.
Welllll now....the House knows what's going to get them re-elected....let's see if the Senate taks the hint. I doubt it....but if the desire to self-preserve kicks in there is a weak lil chance.
