not too surprised, but the Bush bashing I used to here seems to be subsiding ( and i am held hostage in a blue state); London foiled plot sobering, as is 5th yr anniversary. Best argument from the President for Iraq lately has been: nut bag recalcitrant dictators with billions of dollars to spend against us and our allies should be taken out when possible.

His steadfastness in a wimpy wobbly world is what we need; deep down more people are starting (i hope) to figure that out.

I saw video I hadn't seen since 2001 of the attacks. Much of what I felt then came rushing back. This year's anniversary was so stunningly clarifying to me. A lot can still happen between now and Nov, but I expect to be even more energized. Clinton & his thugs threatening ABC made me furious (as it did my parents). No matter what anyone says- on MOST of the major issues of the day- the courts, the WoT, Iraq, taxes, abortion, marriage - the Reps beat the Dems hands down. Even on immigration, they are so much better, if one focuses on the House.

The end of the daily "Bush and Rove conspired to destroy Valerie Plame thereby placing America in grave danger" idiocy is finally over.

I know that most Americans didn't follow it closely, but the sudden "unexplained absence" of the background negativity is significant.

If the TV press was made up of honorable people, they would spend a full week explaining their own stupidity amd collusion with the DNC dingbats (which would still only amount to 10% of the time devoted to unethical Bush-bashing with this motherless club).
