Rush Limbaugh Live Thread Thursday 09-14-06

Perhaps the Political Suicide Club Conservatives might want to consider this. In all the political wet dream fantasizes that "Conservatives win by losing" what do they think happens to their slim chances of taking BACK the Congress if the Democrats follow up this with a reinstitution of the Fairness Doctrine?

The Fairness Doctrine would totally destroy Conservative Talk Radio. Without talk Radio the Conservative ability to win the Congress back goes from slim to nonexistent. This wacko wild butt guess that by losing the Congress the Republicans would be "forced" to more to the right is the dogma of political Know Nothings. This "idea" shows a complete ignorance of the powers of incumbency and the very real damage Democrats could do even if by some miracle they only held the Congress 2 years.

Democrats Call on News Networks to Balance Stories TVweek ^ | September 13, 2006 | Ira Teinowitz

Posted on 09/13/2006 3:36:55 PM CDT by 300magnum

Top Democratic congressional leaders are complaining to network and cable television news executives that the networks are giving the party short shrift in national security stories.

"Until now, there has been a complete absence of balance in the news coverage of national security issues," House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif. and Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., said in letters sent yesterday to top news executives at NBC, CBS, ABC, Fox News Channel and CNN.

I'm going to take very well to retirement. That is IF there is any money left to retire with...I've still got 3 girls and a wife at home...and there does not seem to be enough money in the world to keep those 4 in bangles....

If not now, when? I am weary of McCain bashing, he's doing what he thinks is right.

He is man! He so totally is!!! The ring made him immortal, the lava somehow didn't kill him, he got out, cleaned himself up, picked up some hygene habits somewhere, waited in a cave for thousands of years, ending up in the marshes of Louisiana, where he picked up the cajun accent (he already liked crustations and other Cajun type foods illustrated in Tolkein's books and movies) and then when the modern Democratic party came to town in the 90's, he said "Yes Precious, this will work for us! We will rule the world! We must talk to Clinton!" I so swear Carville IS Smeagol. :)

Well I disagree with this dogma. ANYthing the Goverment does can be misused later. You can NEVER create "perfect" legislation.

This "We don't want to hand over too much power because Hillary may win" is simple a rationalizations by gutless Senators who are afraid to do anything that might offend their Junk Media cronies.

Frankly, I don't know. So busy with schoolwork, being infuriated with !#$%! conspiracy nutballs, and dreading the thought of my dear nephew going to Iraq yet understanding why they're over there, that I'm out of touch with what's happening in our state. So I'm praying that those with more time are doing what I can't.

I'm in a really, REALLY ugly mood right now.

Well you know what's what. People who know reality spot it when other people say what's right. :)

I don't think McCain's term is up until 2010, so if he lost in 08 he'd still be in the senate. And it wouldn't be worth getting Hitlery.

I keep clinging to the idea that McCain won't get out of the primaries. I would support just about anyone else that the Republicans nominate.

RealClearPolitics.com today announced a content partnership with FOXNews.com, in which RealClearPolitics Opinion BuzzTracker
( http://www.realclearpolitics.com/buzztracker ) will be re- directed to a newly designed and co-branded FOXNews.com page at http://www.foxnews.com/politics/buzztracker/index.html . The newly launched FOXNews.com page emerged from both organizations’ recognition of the growing relevance of blogging in the world of politics and world news.

The launch of Opinion BuzzTracker on FOXNews.com represents the first time a mainstream media organization is offering its online consumers a vehicle that proxies and delivers blogged articles and commentary from all points of the political compass in a format that uniquely organizes and prioritizes content for the user.

Opinion BuzzTracker is an online tool that tracks ongoing conversations, news articles and analysis in over 5,000 politically-focused blogs and Web- based media resources, and then identifies and organizes the most linked to Internet stories on politics and political issues in the last 24 hours. The tool permits Internet users to easily filter through thousands of political news articles and blog conversations to determine the “wisdom of the crowds” in a continuously, updated format.

Thank you. Fridays are a tough day at work because of scheduling issues. Be better once everyone uses up their vacation days.

Hey, they took care of me for 18 yrs, it was just my turn. I was lucky, my sister, although doing office work at the time, was an RN. She was always there to answer questions and explain things to me. Taught me how to give injections, change diapers and how to change linens with Mom still in the bed. It was a team effort.
