Perhaps the Political Suicide Club Conservatives might want to consider this. In all the political wet dream fantasizes that "Conservatives win by losing" what do they think happens to their slim chances of taking BACK the Congress if the Democrats follow up this with a reinstitution of the Fairness Doctrine?
The Fairness Doctrine would totally destroy Conservative Talk Radio. Without talk Radio the Conservative ability to win the Congress back goes from slim to nonexistent. This wacko wild butt guess that by losing the Congress the Republicans would be "forced" to more to the right is the dogma of political Know Nothings. This "idea" shows a complete ignorance of the powers of incumbency and the very real damage Democrats could do even if by some miracle they only held the Congress 2 years.

Top Democratic congressional leaders are complaining to network and cable television news executives that the networks are giving the party short shrift in national security stories.
"Until now, there has been a complete absence of balance in the news coverage of national security issues," House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif. and Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., said in letters sent yesterday to top news executives at NBC, CBS, ABC, Fox News Channel and CNN.

I think Rush has it right about McCain--he's so enchanted by the attention and adulation he gets from the DBM that he's lost the ability to see how conservatives respond to him.
Political Masterstoke? To totally piss off your political base?
That just idiotic.

Petition to the United Nations
Dear Supporter of Israel,
I am sure you have been following the recent events in the Middle East with great concern as we have. Iran has been supporting a terrorist war against Israel through Hamas and Hezbollah. Irans president Ahmadinejad has publicly stated his desire to wipe Israel off the map and Allah willing Islam will conquer all the mountain tops of the world.
Now Ahmadinejad has restarted his countrys capacity to enrich uranium needed to create a nuclear bomb and closed all of its facilities to monitoring from the international community. Iran has chosen to reject U.N. Security Council Resolution 1696 which requires the immediate suspension of all enrichment-related activities and strict monitoring by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
Its time for the U.N. to act before its too late.
In the latest Hezbollah offensive Iran supplied rocket launchers and RPGs to Hezbollah guerrillas for their assault on Israel. As the worlds leading state sponsor of international terrorism, Iran is likely to sell or give nuclear weapons to terror groups like Hezbollah, Isalmic Jihad and Hamas. These groups have terrorist cells throughout Europe and the U.S.
President Ahmadinejad has just announced that he may be coming to New York City to give a speech to the UN on September 19.
The Israel Project is sponsoring a petition to U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan to help organize the international community and stop Irans terrorist offenses. Help us deliver a petition with tens of thousands of signatures.
The Israel Project works to educate the public and the media concerning Israel, but we need your help to make peace and security for Israel a reality. Help us make a difference. Sign our petition today and forward it to your friends, family and colleagues.
Thank you for your support,
Jennifer Laszlo Mizrahi

I know, I know. Can't a guy dream? :) If there's a aggressive conservative GOP candidate, that just runs her comments and shows her Senate votes, detailed with illustrations showing what she's voted for and againt, and all her comments the past few years, run on her record and her comments. Not a dirty mud slinging campaign. Just show her votes and taped quotes from her in each video and audio ad, and just use her votes and comments on the record against her, a strong GOP candidate could defeat her. If that person exists. Maybe. Might be wishful thinking. I just like to think there are enough intelligent voters in Louisiana that if her votes were put before their eyes, and they heard all her comments put on the tv and radio daily for a year, that it would make a difference. But then NO was stupid enough to keep Mayor School Bus employed. However, I think the rest of Louisiana has a sharply higher IQ then New Orleans. :)
ACLU - Enemy Sympathizers
Every time I try to beguile myself into thinking the ACLU has reached the limit of outrageous anti-Americanism, another shoe drops. Here's the latest handcuffing stunt (http://www.aclu.org/safefree/patriot/26725prs20060913.html)
by the ACLU courtesy of Jay at Stop The ACLU. (http://stoptheaclu.com/archives/2006/09/13/aclu-claims-victory-attorneys-not-required-to-sign-terrorism-oaths/)
Today, the Ohio Supreme Court ruled that attorneys seeking to represent indigent clients are no longer required to sign documents swearing that they are not terrorists and have no involvement with terrorist groups. The American Civil Liberties Union of Ohio had challenged the provision, which is part of the Ohio Patriot Act, calling the requirement unnecessary red tape that will do nothing to prevent terrorism.
"We are pleased the court recognized that attorneys should not be forced to sign these ineffective and offensive pledges," said ACLU of Ohio Executive Director Christine Link. "The Ohio Patriot Act is an assault on the fundamental liberties of all Ohioans. Hopefully, this decision is a stepping stone to reining in this overreaching and flawed law."
As an Ohioan, I'm angry. Not only is my anger directed at the ACLU, which I consider to be an agency that almost exclusively supports America's enemies, but I'm also angry at the Ohio Supreme Court. What's next? No more oaths of office?
I don't suppose it crossed the minds of the Supremes that they have given terrorists free license to surreptitiously enter courtrooms to further their primary goal of murdering as many Americans as possible. Also, the ruling logically sets a precedent for all background questionnaires for employment to be challenged and ruled unconstitutional.
Not being a legal scholar, all I can do is apply common sense. Doing so, the decision by the Ohio Supreme Court makes no damn sense. Regarding the ACLU, any deep-rooted and unfounded hope that the organization has someone in its hierarchy that respects the traditions and institutions of American freedom are gone. I see the ACLU as a fifth column, enemy sympathizers bent on sabotaging efforts to protect the United States from terrorists.

Rove show how to win 2004. BRING out your base. NOT move to the "Center". The Center are sheep! They follow the Leader. Political Leaders LEAD, Political Whores read polls.
Hey Stonewall, doing fine!
Totally. I am SO MUCH HAPPIER not watching CNN or MSNBC or CNBC or the network news shows. I am WAY happier getting my news from websites blogs and talk radio email sites and friends emails. All the intentional doom and gloom from the liberals just isn't necessary. No wonder liberals think the country is falling to pieces. They only use their own product for information.
Right ON Rush.
If you are Conservative simply fire the Drive By Media! The ONLY power they have is that YOU grant them. Learn to be your OWN Journalist!
I'd be extatic to hit 36, but 38 would not be bad. I've had a bit of a pot since I was a kid so I'm used to that. All my 34s are given away though. Reality finally hit and I ain't ever seein' that again.
Totally right. Coulter is a great example of someone like him who says what's right, goes after those who would undo the conservative foundation of this country if they could, and says what needs to be said, how it needs to be said, to whom it needs to be said to. You're totally right. :)
Me, I still have almost 8 years to go, but I'm making my preparations. I can't wait!
By the way, kudos for taking care of your parents when they needed you. I did the same for my mom, who passed on in 2003, and those were some of the sweetest moments of my life.
Useless. His bloated ego makes him deaf.
