Perhaps the Political Suicide Club Conservatives might want to consider this. In all the political wet dream fantasizes that "Conservatives win by losing" what do they think happens to their slim chances of taking BACK the Congress if the Democrats follow up this with a reinstitution of the Fairness Doctrine?

The Fairness Doctrine would totally destroy Conservative Talk Radio. Without talk Radio the Conservative ability to win the Congress back goes from slim to nonexistent. This wacko wild butt guess that by losing the Congress the Republicans would be "forced" to more to the right is the dogma of political Know Nothings. This "idea" shows a complete ignorance of the powers of incumbency and the very real damage Democrats could do even if by some miracle they only held the Congress 2 years.

Democrats Call on News Networks to Balance Stories TVweek ^ | September 13, 2006 | Ira Teinowitz

Posted on 09/13/2006 3:36:55 PM CDT by 300magnum

Top Democratic congressional leaders are complaining to network and cable television news executives that the networks are giving the party short shrift in national security stories.

"Until now, there has been a complete absence of balance in the news coverage of national security issues," House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif. and Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., said in letters sent yesterday to top news executives at NBC, CBS, ABC, Fox News Channel and CNN.

Ooooooo that is an EXCELENT book. Taken from first hand accounts, former Muslims, impossible to debunk. You have to feel sorry for Muslims really, forcibly indoctrinated for over 1,400 years. I don't feel sorry for the terrorists, they should all be executed whenever found. But the Muslims not involved with terrorism, they're a sad bunch of people. Brainwashed and lied to and placated by Islam, to keep them obediant, nothing but placated Islamic robots, militantly policing their own so they don't leave, all of them doing what ever job they have to prop up and placate their despotism forms of Islamic government. No hope, just Islam. And for the woman, less than no hope. No where does Christianity bahave in that way. People who don't want to be Christians, bye bye. It's their choice, their wad to spend, they can do so how they see fit, and pay the piper when he comes to collect. It's quite a contrast.

Imagine. Steven Hawkins, brilliant astrophysicist, developed ALS, and in a wheelchair produced advanced cosmological theories. He might never have been born in a future world where DNA analysis can reveal the future genetic health status of that child; where the god-given potential of these children would be discarded and where their lives would be cast aside as just "fetal tissue".

I'm with you, Sensei.

It's a dense book - lots of dates and names - but fascinating reading, lots of intrigue, pacts, treaties, and miscommunications. Well reviewed.

Minority Leader Boehner's comments are SPOT ON RIGHT!!! I'm glad to see Congressman Boehner have a DeLayesque moment. DeLay must be somewhere very happy about that comment, glad that his successor shows some spine. :)

Home prices down.
Gas falling by the hour.
Interest rates stable at a reasonable level.
4.7% unemployment

It's Bush's fault!!!

It was the no-sharing-of-information rules implemented by the Clintons. Jamie Gorelick in particular. President Bush has since gotten rid of most of the rules as far as I know.

I'm aware of that but those stupid "rules" should have been scrapped long before we caught Zacharias Moussaoui. I hope that claim is b.s.

Just got a letter from the VA regarding the stolen laptop and hard drive containing veteran's personel data.

Based on the results of forensic tests the FBI is confident the confidential data was not accessed.

Take it for what it is worth.

I apologize for it being wikipedia,...

No need, I don't mind a bit! In fact, I didn't even know wikipedia was considered undesirable. I don't think I've ever gone there.

We SO NEED to replace Landreau. Definitely going to Louisiana when she comes up for re-election to suppor the GOP candidate. I hope the GOP can find a Vitter like candidate. Maybe some really great conservative woman with statewide name recognition, from a family not known for political corruption and questionable business dealings like the Landreau family. Defeating that pudgy liberal hag would be quite satisfying.
