Perhaps the Political Suicide Club Conservatives might want to consider this. In all the political wet dream fantasizes that "Conservatives win by losing" what do they think happens to their slim chances of taking BACK the Congress if the Democrats follow up this with a reinstitution of the Fairness Doctrine?
The Fairness Doctrine would totally destroy Conservative Talk Radio. Without talk Radio the Conservative ability to win the Congress back goes from slim to nonexistent. This wacko wild butt guess that by losing the Congress the Republicans would be "forced" to more to the right is the dogma of political Know Nothings. This "idea" shows a complete ignorance of the powers of incumbency and the very real damage Democrats could do even if by some miracle they only held the Congress 2 years.

Top Democratic congressional leaders are complaining to network and cable television news executives that the networks are giving the party short shrift in national security stories.
"Until now, there has been a complete absence of balance in the news coverage of national security issues," House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif. and Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., said in letters sent yesterday to top news executives at NBC, CBS, ABC, Fox News Channel and CNN.

Gas is $2.22 and still falling in Texarkana. :) Happy happy. :) And BP is saying that they'll start pumping at 100% from Prudhoe before expected, and that huge find in the Gulf, and eventually the Democrat strangle hold blocking ANWR will be broken. Seems like we'll have huge supply heading into the alternate energy decades transitioning to Hydrogen or ethenol or battery packs, whichever prove to be as strong as fuel and much cheaper and more economical and all three totally clean. I like this picture. We've been capping and saving our stuff for over a decade so we have a much larger supply then people realise. If we totally stopped importing ALL petroleum, even from Canada and other mostly "friendly" nations, any that aren't muslim nations, we'd have about 30+ years supply at least, 30 years supply using 100% domestic supplies ONLY in the U.S..
We could start using ONLY our own petroleum today and would be on 90%+ alternative energy several years before we run out. I wish we would frankly. Bankrupt the terrorists plain and simple. We give them more money to buy more bombs and bullets to throw at our gys every gallon of petro we buy from Muslim nations. It's that simple. We fun our enemies with forign oil purchases.

although I did go parasailing once.. so maybe over water I would be okay... sounds wierd, I know... but heights make my knees buckle, can't breathe and feel like I am passing out... for some reason- not so over water! Why yes, I really do not like Ms Rowley. Photoshopping a US Marine Col into a Nazi uniform was WAY out of line. Her support of banSheehan indicates a complete left of Stalin world view.
