Perhaps the Political Suicide Club Conservatives might want to consider this. In all the political wet dream fantasizes that "Conservatives win by losing" what do they think happens to their slim chances of taking BACK the Congress if the Democrats follow up this with a reinstitution of the Fairness Doctrine?

The Fairness Doctrine would totally destroy Conservative Talk Radio. Without talk Radio the Conservative ability to win the Congress back goes from slim to nonexistent. This wacko wild butt guess that by losing the Congress the Republicans would be "forced" to more to the right is the dogma of political Know Nothings. This "idea" shows a complete ignorance of the powers of incumbency and the very real damage Democrats could do even if by some miracle they only held the Congress 2 years.

Democrats Call on News Networks to Balance Stories TVweek ^ | September 13, 2006 | Ira Teinowitz

Posted on 09/13/2006 3:36:55 PM CDT by 300magnum

Top Democratic congressional leaders are complaining to network and cable television news executives that the networks are giving the party short shrift in national security stories.

"Until now, there has been a complete absence of balance in the news coverage of national security issues," House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif. and Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., said in letters sent yesterday to top news executives at NBC, CBS, ABC, Fox News Channel and CNN.

Yikes. And Pete Coors ran for senator here in Colorado. He was defeated by Ken Salazar (D).

It absurd for them to go so spastic over a tracking poll. This can drop 6 points overnite. It all emotional polling. It merely tracks how people feel. As for "Back in the White House Bunker" The Presdient give great speeches every week. Maybe if the Always Whining Conservative Establishement spent 1/3 as much time actually ATTACKING the Democrats or supporting the President as they do continually WHINING about the President, that number who stay in the higher 40s.

The Conservative media Establishement is should be the President's Echo chamber helping him get the message out and beating down the Democrat Noise machine. Instead they would rather actively propaganda FOR the Democrats and spend all their time shoot at Bush.

The Conservative Establishment is just PR stupid. They would rather shoot at their own side then win. Stupid PR, Stupid Politics for Conservatives.

People are cheating; they're called Democrat activist thugs. They crawl out from under their rocks every two years to harass, assault, destroy and wreak havoc on conservative volunteers and property to try and elect Democrats by force and intimidation.

I wonder if this year it will be different kinds of thuggary, or more of the same; assaulting volunteers, even young women, sending them to the hospital, breaking into campaign offices, destroying property, stealing computers, slashing tires on vehicles used to take elderly to vote, destroying other vehicles owned by campaign workers, hacking conservative websites, paying for homeless people to vote, bussing in peopel from outside the district to vote, telling college students how to vote at home and at college if in other states, making harassing phone calls threatening people, or lying to the elderly about the issues, on and on and on. Is it the same stuff or different things this time? And you never hear about the liberals who do these things getting charged for it. They always skate and I've never heard about any conservative volunteer doing any of this stuff. So typical.

While I will never believe NJ will elect a GOP senator, I like the news...

GOP's Kean Leads Menendez in N.J.

Republican Tom Kean Jr. has taken the lead over Democratic incumbent Robert Menendez in the race for the Senate seat from New Jersey, a new poll discloses.

In the survey of likely voters by Strategic Vision, LLC, 44 percent of respondents favored McKean and 40 percent favored Menendez, with 16 percent undecided. It was a complete reversal of the past two Strategic Vision polls, which had Menendez in the lead.

On Monday, NewsMax reported that a new Zogby poll found Kean had pulled into a dead heat with Menendez.

The Strategic Vision poll revealed that 39 percent of respondents viewed Kean favorably, compared to 42 percent for Menendez. But 29 percent had an unfavorable view of Menendez, while only 22 percent felt that way about Kean.

"New Jersey appears to present Republicans with a potential pickup seat with Kean having a magic name in New Jersey politics and a feeling that Senator Menendez is part of the status quo,” said David E. Johnson, CEO of Strategic Vision.

I always ate what we caught. Perch and Rainbow trout are my favorites, but we were happy to fry up anything we caught, except Carp. We always smoked it.
