Perhaps the Political Suicide Club Conservatives might want to consider this. In all the political wet dream fantasizes that "Conservatives win by losing" what do they think happens to their slim chances of taking BACK the Congress if the Democrats follow up this with a reinstitution of the Fairness Doctrine?

The Fairness Doctrine would totally destroy Conservative Talk Radio. Without talk Radio the Conservative ability to win the Congress back goes from slim to nonexistent. This wacko wild butt guess that by losing the Congress the Republicans would be "forced" to more to the right is the dogma of political Know Nothings. This "idea" shows a complete ignorance of the powers of incumbency and the very real damage Democrats could do even if by some miracle they only held the Congress 2 years.

Democrats Call on News Networks to Balance Stories TVweek ^ | September 13, 2006 | Ira Teinowitz

Posted on 09/13/2006 3:36:55 PM CDT by 300magnum

Top Democratic congressional leaders are complaining to network and cable television news executives that the networks are giving the party short shrift in national security stories.

"Until now, there has been a complete absence of balance in the news coverage of national security issues," House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif. and Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., said in letters sent yesterday to top news executives at NBC, CBS, ABC, Fox News Channel and CNN.

Who is Coleen Rowley?
As for her advice that the local field agents seek a FISA warrant, Rowley did not know what she was talking about. She had not discussed the case with National Security Law Unit attorneys or anyone else in Washington. She had not reviewed the FISA statute or any other training material about FISA warrants. She said her advice was based on her knowledge of problems with the "smell test," problems with the local US Attorney's office, and "optimizing" the chances of of getting a warrant by pursuing the FISA process first (132). Asked by the Inspector General whose decision it was not to seek the criminal warrant (Minneapolis's or Washington's), she stated: "I thought it was kind of, I don't know, kind of a joint thing. I thought Headquarters, somebody at Headquartes had also recommended we try FISA first, too. But I think ultimately it was [the local agent's] decision to try FISA first or our field division's." (132.)

FBI headquarters declined to seek a FISA warrant based on the lack of evidence linking Moussaoui to a foreign power. After this decision was conveyed to the Minneaoplis office, no one in Minneapolis or Washington reconsidered the merits of seeking a criminal search warrant. As opposed to a FISA warrant, a criminal search warrant would not have required proof of any connection on the part of Moussaoui to a foreign power. Moreover, now that a FISA warrant had been ruled out, the "smell test" was no longer an issue. Rowley told the Inspector General that she did not know why a criminal warrant was not sought once the FISA route was exhausted. She noted that she did not have a leadership role in the case and she felt that the people involved knew what they were doing (168-169).

If Moonbat Crowley hadn't insisted on a FISA warrant, Moussaoui's computer would've been searched and 9/11 would've likely been prevented.

Appealing to Christians by promising to REDUCE abortions is like trying to negotiate peace with terrorists. We don't want reduced abortions. We want NO abortions. It isn't negotiable.

That Rowley woman? Wasn't she a whistle blower at the Pentagon? Her name makes me frown for some reason

She was one of the Minnesota Democrat Politicians that went down and hung out with Cindy Bansheehan

Montreal Gunman Liked 'Columbine' Game

"His name is Trench. you will come to know him as the Angel of Death," he wrote on his vampirefreaks.com profile. "He is not a people person." He wrote that he hates jocks, preppies, country music and hip-hop. "Work sucks ... school sucks ... life sucks ... what else can I say? ... Life is a video game you've got to die sometime."

Media template next few days: Obviously, the game made him do it, not his unstable mind. Blame the game! Also, his family are to blame for not noticing he was playing the game that made him kill people. The shooter is the real victim.

If the Christian conservative vote is such a bunch of flaming radicals and a minority, why are the Democrats now trying to desperately to placate them? This is the next great political battle. Started with Democrats supposedly being strong on the war. Then Democrats supposedly being for a stronger economy. Then the criminalization of Conservatism, and now they're taking that a step further, but they're embracing "Christianity" to try and slice off Christian conservative votes. If they didn't recognize that the CHristian conservative base was responsible for keeping them out of office, they wouldn't do this. No conservative Christian voter I know will be fooled by this. This and Bush's rising poll numbers, almost 50%, must be REALLY scaring the Democrats. Oh how does this keep getting better and better every passing week? Every passing DAY! :)

But I'll bet the LTC is willing to get out the step stool when needed.

That seems to be a monumental task.
