You don't have to be in Iraq to be in Aq's crossing hairs. Osama Ben Laden wasn't based in Baghdad when the planes hit the WTC, remember ?

You might also want to remember - as AQ leaders certainly do - that France was and still is part of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan from day one. Or that it arrested AQ-related terrorists who were planning an attack against the US embassy in Paris in 2004. Or that it arrested 175 Islamists since 9/11, and deported 15 Imams preaching violence against the West.
