I agree. Test 'em on Congress critters.

"(Because) if I hit somebody with a nonlethal weapon and they claim that it injured them in a way that was not intended, I think that I would be vilified in the world press." Well now, we can't have that, now can we? My self-image might be bruised!
The insanity continues...

Domestic use would make it easier to avoid questions in the international community over any possible safety concerns, said Air Force Secretary Michael Wynne. "If we're not willing to use it here against our fellow citizens, then we should not be willing to use it in a wartime situation," said Wynne.
I'm just speechless.

Non-lethal weapons may be seductive sirens for liberals, but I can't help but remember Marlon Brando's warning from
Apocalypse Now, "The horror... the horror..."
It's not the weapon, it's the effect on survivors.

""If we're not willing to use it here against our fellow citizens, then we should not be willing to use it in a wartime situation," said Wynne.
"
Perhaps Wynne would like to volunteer for this testing.

Air America was going berserk over this tidbit this morning.
I have to say that I agree with the Secretary. We want to say that these are non-lethal weapons -- but we're afraid to use them on our own people because someone might die?
We should have enough courage to:
1) Use lethal methods in all appropriate situations
2) Call lethal methods what they are -- lethal methods
3) Use non-lethal methods in all appropriate situations
4) Use the term "non-lethal" only if we're convinced that they are.

I say we test them out on Air Force Secretary Michael Wynne first.
Is this man completely insane?
To: rightgrafix
If he thinks this is such a good idea, he ought to be the first to volunteer.
