If you need people around you to make you look good, could we say you have a serious ego, character, and behavior problem. None of these apply to our present President. I hadn't really thought about it until you mentioned it, but it speaks volumes. Our President is daily castigated for his attention to exactly what the country is in need of.
He remains steadfast in the face of constant badgering by utter fools who would throw us and the country literally under the bus (not sure who came up with that one but it sure is descriptive).
How he is able to remain the cool collected man that he is, while facing unending adversity, is no mystery and is far more than I would ever be capable of. They would cart me off in a straight jacket the first time I failed to suffer fools with a straight face.
Too bad there are so many squeaky wheels in the presidential press briefings, that Tony has to deal with on a daily basis. There is a lesson there for all of us about the caliber of men in the Bush White House. Oddly enough there seems to be a rather normal death rate among friends associates, acquaintances and members of this administration.
Well said.
The Clintonistas drove me nuts with their insistence that character didn't matter. When electing the leader of the free world, I dare say that character is the most important characteristic. Bush is is a man of character and a man of faith.
I think perhaps that is why the Left is so fixated in their hatred of him. By his example, he contrasts with their moral bankruptcy. It's extremely juvenile. It's like the class delinquent who loathes the straight-A student because he studies and behaves himself. I'm really amazed at how the DEMwit pundits can keep straight faces while they accuse Bush of being, of all things, a liar.
Although, I guess I shouldn't be surprised. The best liars are the ones who can convince themselves of the lie.
