Why are the british now anti religion?

To me it looks like a large number of Britons are locked in an indeological battle with American conservatives. Then because American conservatives tend to be religious, these same Britons have become reflexively anti-religous. They are now also automatically in a battle with Judaeo-Christian values to some extent because those relgion-based values are the values of Jewish and Christian conservatives in America. This is another example of mindless left-wing herd behavior in western nations.
