That's exactly it! This fool is trying to black ball the miniseries, because a conservative came forward and approved it. In other words, don't pay attention to the movie--let's go hunt some witches. Twisted propaganda.
Yes, I think you're right. "Right Wing" is passe, it is no longer cool to use the words. Been overused. Besides, it invites the use of, "Left Wing" which opens up an ugly can of worms. Time for a new word, "Fabrication". As Dick Morris would say, "It'll take 'em a while to figure how to counter it and by then we'll have a new word"...
to me the "incidents" fade to obscurity next to the non-support of Masood; he was a guy who could have taken down both Bin Laden and the Taliban if the docudrama was at all accurate, and the biography posted here earlier seems to vouch for that.
whay = what
I'm surprised you could understand that. I swear it said "what" when I read it back to myself. :^)
You are right. Anything pro-American is viewed as "partisan." Just listen to the DEMwits this morning labeling Bush's pro-American speech as political. They are admitting that Dems are anti-American. But... we're not allowed to point that out.
One can be both.
Sometimes those two characteristics go together- like fat AND ugly.
Well I guess like father like son. Sidney writes kookly left wing articles for the Guardian that if published in the USA would be seen as COMMIE NUT blathering. And to think that people like this with these really crazy conspiracy theories and world outlook actually hold seats of powere in our government. I am shocked and baffled. This is scary stuff.
I don't agree that Cheney was portrayed as bumbling just old. He knew exactly what was going on. Whereas almost all other characters were played by actors better looking than they are in real life Condi was uglier than in real life. The movie implied that Clarke was the Crisis Manager not that Condi did not know what to do. That appears to be true since Clarke actually was in charge of many aspects on that day and the days to follow. For example, it was he who made arrangements for Bin Laden's family to fly out of the US.
Condi was not treated that badly in terms of her actions or character and was not shown to be unaware of or unconcerned with al Queda. Her decision to change Clarke's position happened and is probably the reason he turned on the Bush administration not having been rewarded as he believed he deserved.

That's quite an omission. I still think it was an excellent docudrama, however. Thanks for the info on the time. I was all confused; DirecTV said it was on until 11:00 and Yahoo said it wasn't on at all. I refuse to take the local paper since the dog became housetrained.
About the movie, it didn't really say anything we didn't already know. What it did was focus our attention back to a few things.
The Islamic terrorists are the enemy. They are savage. They are brutal. They want us dead. The movie didn't dance around the fact that they are Islamic. Even the music emphasized that.
It reminded us--or at least it reminded me--that not all Muslims want to kill us. There are some who are willing to risks their lives to protect their families and stop the terrorists.
I often forget that other Muslims are victims too. Terrorists don't just hate us; they hate everything that's not them--Jews, Christians, Kurds, Hindus, Pakistanis, Germans, Americans, Brits, Russians--and they even hate themselves.
Another thing the movie pointed out was that when it all boils down, the government can't protect us. We have to protect ourselves. By government, I'm talking about those political yoyos in Washington who pontificate from their high horses.
The heroes leading up to 9/11, as highlighted in the movie, were average Joe Americans, doing their jobs and trusting their guts.
The border guard who smelled something fishy and stopped the Seattle attack.
The immigrant customs agent who knew the terrorist hated America and sensed he was up to something. He defied the system and refused the guy entry, even though he would have to face the heat.
The guy who kept the VIN number he found at the first Trade Center bombing. He broke the rules to save some key evidence.
On 9/11 itself, we saw the best of America. The system failed. The heroes were individuals who when caught in the face of the unthinkable, listened to their guts and did the right thing.
If we learn anything, I hopes it's this--That yoyos in high places don't have a clue about the real world. You need to hire good people, train them well, and trust their judgment. Oversight and review, of course! But never ever make someone afraid to use common sense and do the right thing.
"godfather is far-right activist David Horowitz"
They really don't know this guy, do they?
In reality, we know that Cheney is a leader and very strong, as is Condi.
IMO, they portrayed both of them as weaker than they are.
BUT...........it is nothing in comparison to the reality that in 8 years the Clinton administration did absolutely nothing to combat terror, and that in even before 9/11 the Bush administration had decided to quit playing small ball and get something done.
That reality, is why the film is devastating to Clinton and his imagined 'legacy.'
BINGO, ohiowfan!
It is amazing to see this in ALL aspects of life, but especially in the ENEMEDIA. Fox news is labeled "righ-wing" when in reality it is FAR from being conservative or "right-wing" The fact that Fox dares to show the "other" side, which is unacceptable to leftists, makes them look "right-wing" when actually they are just barely balanced.
The reaction by the left about this movie just shows how intellectually dishonest they really are. They can write books and movies, many times full of lies, slandering President Bush, Vice President Cheney etc. and it is justified as Freedom of speech, yet when the left is exposed, the messenger is vilified, and threats are made to silence those that dare speak the Truth! It was done with the Swift-boat movie, and now again with the Path to 9-11! The threats by the Democratic Senators should put a chill down everyones spine.
That is why we all love Jack Bauer and we need more (in real life) like him!
Your tagline says it all...
Amen!
And he is constantly underestimated!
It's quite a show!
