I'm hopeful for Laffey in RI and Graf in AZ.

This massive intervention by the national party in local elections is a bad thing. Especially since they seem determined to intervene in local primaries only to elect the most liberal candidate they can find.

Disturbing.

Ditto.

I want Graf and Laffey.

The other race to watch is cardin/Mfume.

I don't really have a preferred one to campaign Steele, though some are convinced one would be better than the other.

I'm not mad about their backing Chafee, since it's common for parties to back their incumbents, but they shouldn't have intervened in a primary for an open seat.

Right. I really see no reason or justification for the party to get involved in primaries at all!
