I am sure it IS frustrating.
I am frstrated because we are in a "can't win." And I suspect so are many others on the other side of the door.
THINK for a moment! A "can't win"??? Good God, our "rehabilitation" of Japan after World War II included the difficult struggle of convincing the sheeple there that the Emperor wasn't a deity, when they had had it pounded into their heads forever that he was. Guess what? It got done.
Life magazine (admittedly a Luce enterprise) reported in '46 or '47 the pure hell we were supposedly having in trying to make the peace during our post-war occupation of both Germany and Japan. It included deadly insurgent attacks.
Guess what? It got done.
Then we need to talk about how Italy and other Axis-sympathetic countries got turned around by our post-war diplomacy (obviously augmented by threats on occasion).
That got done, too.
The only thing stopping our getting Iraq wrapped up, turned over to its own government, and moving on is the incredible propaganda combination of the MSM and the Democrats, who bombard America with doom and gloom every time something even remotely good happens.
