LONDON (Reuters) - A British motorist who blew up a road safety camera which had caught him speeding was jailed for four months Wednesday, Greater Manchester Police said.
Craig Moore, 28, took his revenge on the camera, which had flashed him in the Hyde area of Manchester, in August 2005.

I don't care WHAT his religion was, he did the right thing to that insidious device.
Would you feel better if he'd have used a sledge hammer?
Personally, I'd like to use a little EMP gun and fry the things.

I hope this destruction of traffic cameras starts here soon. It looks like it would be a bit more difficult here considering there is not a good way to sneak up on the damn things as they put them in on all 4 directions.
Walking up on it from another block might work. Of course a 30-06 AP in the lens should do it as well.

I think we need that kind of revolt here in the old US of A. Start with the Scottsdale AZ freeway cameras. Camera enforce should not be allowed, period for traffic enforcement.

" "Speed camera vandalism is reaching epidemic proportions," said road safety activist Paul Smith of Safe Speed. "The only solution is to scrap the cameras. Apart from their total failure to deliver improved road safety, they push good people outside of the law every day of the week."" From the same article.
