But i remember this story in 2002 and 2004. The economy was worse in 2002 and repubs still one. Does the press just keep stories lying around and just put different dates on them?

In general, Americans always vote with their wallets. Those that look to government for a free ride tend to vote democRAT, while those being taxed to pay for it generally vote Republican. Nothing different - liberals always steal our money to buy votes.

I think much of the news is rehashed. I used to like hash but I don't anymore. I see 'tax and spend' in my crystal ball...

That poll showed voters giving the economy failing grades, with 56 percent rating it "poor" overall, compared with 44 percent who called it "good." This is absurd. Unemployment at less than 5% with good GDP growth is a poor economy? If you want to see a poor economy look back at the Carter years. The people voting in that poll don't have a realistic frame of reality to base their opinions on.

The economy was worse in 2002 and repubs still one. Better than that, we will win this won two.

I know. I didn't post it because I pay attention to polls. I thought it was interesting, the difference between CNN and Fox.

In other news, idiots will vote RAT, while informed voters will vote Republican. Meanwhile, weirdos will vote 3rd party.

They are cutting it too fine. Combine the war questions and you get 43%.

I'm not too sure how you got that, but I'll take your word for it. It's too bad that not everyone lives on a bus route. And works on a bus route. If things get bad, we'll park the F150 and hubs will drive the Accord and I'll take the bus.

National security is essential for a good economy. So, yeah, I'll be voting my wallet. And I'll vote for the candidate most likely to protect this nation and our way of life.

I really think there's no other immediate priority. I know for some conservatives it's abortion first, but I don't agree. As has been repeated, ALL 19 of the people who attacked us on 9-11 were HERE ILLEGALLY.

I'm too tired to go into a long detailed explanation right now as to why, but, I'd venture to say that the people who are complaining about this economy at this time, with unemployment at 4.9 percent, are most likely non-voters.
