We are hoping to start one thread for the FReedom Walks through out the United States where FReepers can post their pictures. We're sure there will be other Reports by FReepers for their particular area. But please take some time and either link your Thread here or post some additional pictures here.
Also please link this Thread to yours.
All we ask is that you remember to identify the WHERE, WHEN, and WHOs.
Hope everyone enjoys seeing all the different events.

WASHINGTON, D.C., Sunday, September 10, 6:30PM til 9PM.
Kristinn and Concretebob please provide additional narratives and pics. I'm not sure of everyone who was there.
All the pics in this post are by [Mrs] Trooprally. Some are shaky because they were spur of the moment shots where if you didn't get them, it would have been lost. Also, while walking, she couldn't stop without the other walkers piling up behind her. There was about 2 miles of moving patriots. All of [Mrs] Trooprally's pics are HERE, but some are out of sequence.
It was great to meet some of the FReepers and bloggers that we've not meet before. We basically stayed together as a group due to the wonders of the cell phone. We met up unexpectedly with some of the college students that regular FReep with the D.C. Chapter at various events, particularly at Walter Reed.
We had thousands at D.C.'s FReedom Walk. General Pace (USMC), (BELOW LEFT) Chairman of the Pentagon Joint Chiefs, addressed us before starting the walk. He lead the walk with an Honor Guard. BELOW RIGHT: Honor guard returning to the Starting Point. As they went past, the Walkers stopped and clapped. There was a rolling clapping for them. This means that they walked about 5 miles total.

BELOW LEFT: WWII Vet. BELOW RIGHT: ArmyMarineMom (Military Families Voice of Victory blog); Kristinn, ArmyMarineDad

BELOW LEFT: Arlington Memorial Bridge with walkers. BELOW RIGHT: Road with walkers leading up to bridge.

BELOW: Pentagon as we walked past it.

BELOW LEFT: Stage in Pentagon parking lot. BELOW RIGHT: Memorial beam of lights from on top of the Pentagon. There is one beam for each person killed at the Pentagon.

We're looking forward to hearing about and seeing pictures from other FReedom Walks.

Since you all have written about your FReedom Walks, could you also help out here?
If you, or any one, knows of a FReeper that attended a different FReedom Walk, could you please let them know about this thread so they can post a narrative and pictures.
Thanks.

This year's D.C. Freedom Walk went really smooth. There were enough screeners/checkers that there was never a line to get in. At the Pentagon there were enough jiffy johns that no line was longer than 3 people. and after walking 2+ miles, relief was quick.
Are you going to make it to the Support the Troops Rally on Sept. 23?

Yes, Gen. Pace is a great speaker. It was neat looking at him in his walking sneakers. Never seen him so dressed down.
Pentagon was the best. The planners did a great job getting the walkers there at dusk so the lighting was most impressive.

Did you think the press would? The failed immigration protests this week got more coverage than the FReedom Walks.

If any of you all know of a FReedom Walk that had a FReeper attend, please let them know about this thread so they can add to it.
If you could, a link in your daily threads would give others an added lift to those already reading your great FReeper Canteen and A Few of FR's Finest.
Thanks.

I was supposed to go to one today but circumstances conspired against me. I am very disappointed.
I'll put a link in the Canteen.

Did anyone by any chance stop by the Marine Parents table that was close to the stage in the Pentagon parking lot? I was hoping to meet some of you - even saved you some posters of the Pentagon and the Capitol that someone provided. I'll post pics later.

I don't know for sure. We lost track of the larger group once the walk started, and even more when we got to the parking lot.
Maybe that can be a suggestion for next year. When they hand out the t-shirts or glow sticks, they can give out a flyer indicating who will be at the Pentagon Parking Lot.
I went up to the stage area to take pics but being so dark, I couldn't see who the booths represented. I would sure have liked to meet you.
Are you going to make it the the Sept. 23 FR Support the Troop Rally? Maybe we can meet then.
