Tee Hee!
I thought the stories I saw said the place was empty when the U.S. turned it over. How could any remaining prisoners be pleading to go with the crusaders?
SWEET!
I hate to say this, but when word gets out to the general population that terrorists are being routinely tortured and hanged in Iraqi prisons, it will do more to stop the terrorist attacks than adding another 50,000 US troops ever could. After all, it worked for Saddam.
Liberals said Abu Ghraib wasn't nice
But it seems that they should have thought twice
While it may not be fair
Exposing balls to the air
It's much worse when they're squeezed in a vise
It seems most Muslims, in their country of origin, actually EXPECT their fellow muslims to treat prisoners this way. But God forbid if an American makes them play naked twister, then it's "DEATH TO THE INFIDELS!!"
And Khalid Alaani, who was also picked up in Ramadi suspected of involvement in Sunni terrorism, said: "We preferred the Americans. We asked to move with them to Baghdad airport because we knew the treatment would be changed because we know what the Iraqis are. When the Americans left everything changed."
Doesn't surprise me in the least.
LOL! You should send to O'Reilly!
When we need to interrogate a subhuman, just turn him over to the Iraquis.
Thanks! Is it "pithy" enough?
Independent Witness is not identified or even described...
I would prefer facts based on verifiable informatiion. But that's just me, I guess...
"Sorry, Abu Grab is under new management, and we only accept infidels as prisoners now! If you'd like to convert to Christianity, we'd be happy to rent you a room in our resort in Cuba! Meanwhile, enjoy your stay!" Heh-heh.
"I hate to say this, but when word gets out to the general population that terrorists are being routinely tortured and hanged in Iraqi prisons, it will do more to stop the terrorist attacks than adding another 50,000 US troops ever could. After all, it worked for Saddam."
Our soldiers would probably agree with you.
Way too many stories of insurgents arrested then released.
We know how 'dirty wars' are fought, and nothing is dirtier than terrorism. It's a troubling conclusion, but if we cant win against terrorists without resorting to torture,
where does that leave the "Kumbaya" crowd?
Where does that leave us, who want to win and want to do it in a way that is honorable?
I think it leaves us continuing to fight as we do, but letting others fight it as they will. We got enough flak from Shia politicians who claimed we werent tough enough on the insurgents. And we have enough Americans dead in Iraq to turn a deaf ear on the pleas of insurgents for us to help them out. Screw them. If they want mercy from fellow Iraqis, let them lead by example.
