Are Republicans dissappointed in the representatives we elected to the House and Sanate? Damned right we are.

We are very dissappointed, but we arent going to cut off our noses to spite our face.

Certainly many people we elected suck, but when compared to the alternative, they shine like a briliant light.

I love Cheney, but couldn't muster the will to watch lefty tater head Russert yesterday. Sounds like Cheney was his usual intellectual self and Tim was his usual hemorrhoid self.

I couldn't sleep last night and I got up and found "Meet the Depressed" on at midnight. Tim was so red-faced, so intent in his questioning I thought he might bust a gut! I think he thought he was still residing at that Demonrat rally on MSNBC last week! He was out for blood and I commend Vice President Cheney for his grace and calm during this "hit".

Sen. John Kerry, a Massachusetts Democrat whom Bush defeated in the 2004 presidential election, said Republicans have no advantage on national security. "They've been incompetent," Kerry told CNN's "Late Edition." "... We can do better."

Hah! Do WHAT better? The Democrats can't even figure out what their priorites for national security are. Aids? Global Warming? More federal money for cities? Maybe Kerry will roll out his secret plan soon.

"I don't bet," replied Russert.

Sure you do, Tim. You bet every day that you're on the right side. And that sooner or later your tenacity will pay off.

on security.."They've been incompetent," Kerry told CNN's "Late Edition." "... We can do better."

How can anyone possibly explain that statement? Show me the wreckage from all the terrorist attacks since 9/11, then we'll talk.

The Washington Post reported on Sunday that Republicans intend to spend the vast majority of their financial war chest in the next two months on negative ads. "I hope our guys have good hard-hitting advertisements," Cheney said when asked about the report. "Certainly the opposition does."

"Just think about what's at stake in this election in terms of national security and the global war on terror," Cheney said.

I love Dick Cheney! How I wish he would run for president in '08.

Democrats have accused Republicans of trying to scare the public into voting to keep them in charge of Congress, and say Democrats could better protect America.

"They (Republicans) think they can't win the elections unless they talk about terrorism all the time," Democratic Party Chairman Howard Dean told "Fox News Sunday."

I'm speechless.

Cheney more than held his own with Russert yesterday on every level.

My favorite exchange was when Cheney was asked whether he still went hunting. After some back and forth, Russert asked him if he brought his shotgun to the interview...

Paraphrasing Russert: "Do I need to be concerned you'll shoot me?"

Cheney: {pause} No, you're not in season...

Funny how John F'n Kerry says the Democrats are better on terrorism but his party chair says the Republicans win by talking about terrorism all the time.

Cheney's "wanna bet" is the perfect argument ender for all of us when confronted with liberal nonsense.

Polls, polls, polls!! At least 3 times Russert pulled out polls. He is so lazy. Poll analysis is a cop out for a "journalist" (I use the word lightly) so he won't have to do some real work. Pathetic.

Appearing on NBC's "Meet the Press," Cheney told moderator Tim Russert, "I'll even bet you a dinner that we hold both houses."

Well, the last time Cheney made a prediction was the margin G.W.B. and himself would win re-election. He was pretty close.

Anyway, yeah, I've never predicted they'd lose the houses...though had they passed amnesty we'd see....I'm one of the many Freepers that voted in the FR poll they would lose neither this fall so Cheney and I agree on this one.

That doesn't mean I'm invested in protecting RINO's though. They can lose. But I am countering by supporting conservative challengers elsewhere.

SEN. CORZINE: Fifty-one.

MR. RUSSERT: You have 51 Republicans now. How many in January '05?

Kerry told CNN's "Late Edition." "... We can do better."

Hmmmmm. Is it just me or does that sound like a familiar sound bite from the '04 Presidential Election?

Hey, John, America didn't buy that two years ago and they won't buy it today.

That edition of Meet the Press was not an interview...it was a debate. Every single answer that the VP provided was met with "but..." from Russert. And then Russert provided the viewpoint of the NY Times, the Democrat National Committee, and the kook fringe left.

I don't know why Republicans go on these shows. And if they do appear, they ought to be pugnacious and combative with the partisan, dogged Democrat "interviewers."

Remember the last big prediction the VP made in the weeks before the 2001 inauguration: He said we were on the front edge of a recession. He was right. I have my problems with him, but the man is not stupid.
