I didn't watch it...I was "backing up" Flight 93 that I bought today...at least I know that was the truth.
So far most blame is placed squarely, and justly upon the Clinton administration. The Bush administration won't escape unscathed, nor should it although it must be noted they didn't have the same opportunities over such a long period of time. What I find interesting is one reference that pops up again and again, and I fault both administrations on this. That reference is Pakistan. General Musharraf may be an ally of the USA, but there is absolutely no may the whole of Pakistan is an ally.
Pakistan today is home to Osama bin Laden, has more al Qaeda schools and training camps then before 9-11, has produced between 10,000 and 50,000 militant jihadists in recent years, and last week the Pakistani government made peace with the tribal warlords protecting Osama bin Laden.
Pakistan was not an ally prior to 9-11, and it should have stayed that way. Pakistan is a weak link in the War on Terrorism.
Boo Hoo BUBBA!....
The portral of John O'Neill, the FBI guy, was great. It must be beyond frustrating to be a smart, dedicated professional in a federal government filled with political hacks who are there for no other reason than that the president's party owed someone a favor. Given that situation, it is only by the grace of God that our nation has survived its government for this long.
My local morning news said they took the word "impeachment" out of the part where Harvey Keitel/John O'Neill was talking in the back seat of the car or plane (couldn't tell where he was watching, but the TV was on the back of someone's seat in front of him) after Klintoon's Miss Lewinsky speech.
I taped it and noticed that the tape did not run three hours but about 2 hours and forty. They must have cut allot out. When I rewound the tape I found live channel 7 news had been taped in the last twenty minutes and it was a Bush slamming session. They were saying that Clinton AND BUSH were critisized for not doing anything about the USS Cole bombing. WHAT?
While the current docu-drama does show the cowardly incompetence of both Albright and Burger, it falls far short of their full cowardice and incompetence. It also falls far short of a true picture of Clinton, himself, as the spoiled, immature, self-indulgent, anti-military, anti-American president that he was. His consuming desire to be loved by the msm cost our country more than he and his entire administration was worth.
