It's called a "Freudian slip".
Well it is. ..but not exactly or at least 'precisely' where I was going. . .
FS. . .saying one thing. . .meaning another as opposed - but again. . .not exactly -'opposed' - to just the constant - uncontainable 'self-revelation' that manifests by our style'; our every activity and conversation; choice of words et al - some of which may be 'slips'; while others are just embedded with our 'truth'. . ..as per Freud. .
The more we hide a truth we are uncommfortable with. . .the more that 'truth' will reveal itself; whether by Freudian slip or other verbal;/ non-verbal opportunites for our 'give away' . . .
Think a word-smithing book could be written on behalf of both Clintons. . .who had and continue to have - so much to hide, and so as 'out front' public figures; and without their realizing. . . .their conversational choices are a trove of the self-revelatory.
