I know I'm gonna get a lot of flak, but Dubya has really aged since 9-11...the weight of the world on his shoulders has been a heavy burden indeed!....God Bless You Mr. President.

You won't take any flak from me, I've been thinking the same thing this day, as I watch the footage from 5 years ago. I'm so very happy to have such a man at this time. And I'm so very grateful to him AND HIS FAMILY, for taking all the flak from our enemies.

No flak. He wears it well. It would have crushed lesser men.

I wouldn't give you flak, mystery. It's true. The founders never intended for the job to have the enormous scope it has today. It's way more than any one man should have to shoulder, but still people expect ever more from the federal government.

Like that caterwauling about the federal response after Katrina last year. Stuff and nonsense...to put it cleanly.

No flak from me, mystery, but I think a lot of it is his age. I'm just a few months older than he is and I think I look a lot 'more older' now than he does compared to 5 years ago. Considering the heavy burdens he has shouldered and the vile and baseless personal attacks he has endured, I think he has aged remarkably well ... and I think that is because of his relationship with the Lord.

Compared to virtually all of his predecessors (in my lifetime, at least) I think he shows the stresses and strains of the office less than most have though his burdens have been much greater.
