Those who are foolish enough to forget history invite a repetition of that awful day. Forgetting is not an option. Fortunately, most of us cannot forget no matter how hard we try. I am thankful we have a president who shares our memories and isn't afraid to cry for those who are no longer able to cry. Any president can relate to the people in times of prosperity and celebration. This president is there for us in times of mourning.
America will never fully appreciate how powerful an ally she has in one good man. Maybe the history books will tell some of the story, but the legacy he leaves behind and how many people owe him their lives is too big for anyone to know. Nothing on this side of eternity can give him his due.
