You're welcome, Rob. :)
That is fine with me and I understand both today and tomorrow's thread will be emotional.
For those who wish to use the dose tomorrow as live safe thread for the President's address to the nation please do so.
I will post the dose as soon as it appears the majority of photos of the day's events are up.
Thanks, snugs. Question: Had you seen that photo before of the Vice President and his Lynne conferring in the PEOC on 9/11? I never did. You know how the WH website is...you really have to dig to find stuff sometimes. I came across it quite by accident today.
Might have been, although in the video I linked here, it sounded like Ray Charles to me. Could be wrong, though.
No I had not I knew she was there but never seen the photo before.
Thanks, mystery. So pleased you enjoyed it.
This is a good idea, Rob. Thanks for thinking of it.
To which I say a solemn amen.
You're most welcome. :)
You're welcome. :)
You're welcome, Dolly. I may not be here when you get back to the thread, but am glad you stopped by for a moment now.
I feel fortunate that during the past few Septembers I was otherwise mentally occupied as even five years later I feel sick!
Something about rainstorms and thunderstorms that soothes my soul. Don't know why.
Thank you Wolfstar.
God bless our President, George W Bush.
Great job, Wolfstar! Look at the Clintons in that last pic. They are contemplating their culpability in the attacks. Bubba's thoughts were actually torn-one side of him knew this was his fault, and the other side was angry that he wasnt given the chance to lead, even though he had plenty of opportunities to do so..
I've heard Ray Charles sing that song. It could be both men did sing it, but I am certain that Ray Charles sang it too. I haven't listened to your link but I will as soon as hubby leaves for work.
Thank you for this outstanding memorial. Once again, you have brought me to tears.
Each picture is a perfect mirror of that moment in time and brings back memories that have long been laid aside by a few and forgotten by many.
Then I'm especially glad I found it, so you can add it to your collection. It's a remarkably intimate photo given where they were and what was going on. Clearly they needed each other's support.
You're welcome. :)
