Don't know. It would be quite a scandal if ABC ran the uncut version overseas, and an edited one for domestic consumption.

This is the dirty little secret behind the press reports that approval for Bush, the war, etc. are down. They spin it so you'd think everyone's a peacenik. But within those numbers are many who think the war isn't being prosecuted strongly enough.

If ABC has edited this movie, it won't matter. There are copies out there. They will make it to the video store eventually or to a web page. Banning something always makes people want to watch it. Think back to the most boring book "The Boss" about Mayor Daily. It became a best seller after schools banned it. The same is true of 'Soul On Ice' (Cleaver murderer book) I think this is the name of the book-stupid book. It too hit the best seller list after being banned. The Dems are stupid. They have not prevented people from seeing the unedited version ultimately, and they have made themsleves look both guilty and foolish.

Interesting you should mention that. One of the characters in 'The Path' is wary of acting on his own iniative, due to the Reno/Waco precedent. Doesn't want to be left twisting in the wind by Clinton, in the event something goes wrong.

That is what I haven't been able to understand about this all week. The Clintons are supposedly incredibly PR savvy and yet they've drawn all this attention to this movie that they supposedly didn't want folks to see. The only thing I can think of is either they're not a smart as they're supposed to be OR the movie is so damaging they had no choice but to try and stop it from being aired unedited.

Also I was so afraid that ABC would cancel it, I want to support them, even if they edited it. They didn't allow the Dem's to win (IMO).

Question: Is there any way of streaming the version shown in Australia back here to the United States? It would be the greatest political advocacy piece available to the effort to elect a Republican majority in both the Senate and the house.

Sure, the Republicans have some flawed individuals, and a lot of contradictory opinions, within their ranks. But the Dem'crats are riddled with CRAZY PEOPLE! throughout their entire organization, some of which are in positions of high authority, and are seriously pursuing the hypothesis that they are actually in control, maintaining a shadow government with their own Shadow President.

As with so much on TV, there is no real point in watching to see what you already know. Some people watch TV and read newspapers as if to "confirm" what they have learned on the internet, so they are seeing "yesterday's news today". It's like replaying a football game when you already know the outcome.
