This is precisely how an antipoverty program became a behomoth, because selfish people like you always have to get theirs, even though their are huge disparities in how people use medical care, you want it to be fair.
Look at it this way. This is a problem of our generation. We are talking about how to pay for the medical care of the boomers who could have provided for it differently but did not. Is it preferable for us to figure out how to take care of it on the benefits side, or should we just raise taxes on our children and grandchildren? I think those are the choices.

Geez, communism, liberalism, feel-goodism at its best...I can't top that. It isn't a problem that "I" created, only one for which I am fiscally responsible. Your conscience (liberalism) may tell you that I am at fault, but it is your forerunners, the ones who set up this scam in the first place, who are at fault. All for the want of votes. A true conservative could NEVER decry actions/feelings for want of fairness.

Ayn Rand was truly a visionary. That statement could just as well be lifted directly from Atlas Shrugged.
Scary...
