No, but that won't be talked about much ... it would give Bush more credibility. Can't have that.

I saw it but I'm sure it won't be on the local evening news.

I think that was General Sada. I got a phone call right as he came on and missed the whole thing. The reporting on this issue all day has been so horrible and deficient, I have had to stay away from the news.

I am. He said he is surprised at those who are politicizing the safety of the United States of America by disputing his knowledge of WMD being moved to Syria by air and by land.

So much of the intelligence committee report relies on one Al Qaeda prisoner, a guy named Al-Libby, claiming he made up his accounts of Al Qaeda-Iraq ties. First of all, the volumes of evidence I've read of those ties, I don't remember any of it being sourced to Al Libby. Secondly, I don't think the evidence of those ties emerging from Saddam's own files were written by Al Libby. Third, why do we believe Al Libby is being truthful in recanting and that he's not just trying to embarrass the US? Funny the media and the Democrats didn't find him credible when he reported such ties, now they do.

But as I say, very little if any that I've read of those ties rely on Al Libby's testimony. Stephen F. Hayes' book "The Connection" showing Saddam's ties to Al Qaeda never even mention the guy. I hope Hayes and others will go on the offensive against this massive white wash by the Senate since the White House can't come up with anything more than to say "It's nothing new."

SADA: Well, I want to make it clear, very clear to everybody in the world that we had the weapon of mass destruction in Iraq, and the regime used them against our Iraqi people. It was used against Kurds in the north, against Arabs — marsh Arabs in the south...

HANNITY: Some people say they were destroyed. Did we still have them leading up to the invasion?

SADA: No, he had a very good organization that Saddam was created to show some of them but to continue to hide.

HANNITY: So he had them.

SADA: Yes.

HANNITY: Where were they? And were they moved and where?

SADA: Well, up to the year 2002, 2002, in summer, they were in Iraq. And after that, when Saddam realized that the inspectors are coming on the first of November and the Americans are coming, so he took the advantage of a natural disaster happened in Syria, a dam was broken. So he — he announced to the world that he is going to make an air bridge...

HANNITY: You know for a fact he moved these weapons to Syria?

SADA: Yes.

HANNITY: How do you know that?

SADA: I know it because I have got the captains of the Iraqi airway that were my friends, and they told me these weapons of mass destruction had been moved to Syria.

BECKEL: How did he move them, general? How were they moved?

SADA: They were moved by air and by ground, 56 sorties by jumbo, 747, and 27 were moved, after they were converted to cargo aircraft, they were moved to Syria.

BECKEL: So I assume this would not have happened without the permission of Damascus. Is that correct?

SADA: Well, of course, you know, when the aircraft would land in Syria, they must have some sort of agreement between the two.

BECKEL: So the Syrian government knows exactly where these weapons are today?

SADA: I think so. Because I am sure that these weapons have landed in Damascus. Where could they have gone?

Fox News - Sadaam's Air Force General claiming ties between Sadaam and Osama - on now

It's onlyFodder for the media for the guy had to go anyway and after umpteen disregards for UN resolutions, attacks on peacekeepers, murdering of hundreds of thousands, and attacking a sovereign nation, why is this even news worthy?

A distraction in an election year perhaps?

Oops! The Left will denounce him as a Bush shill! Why, the just released Senate "intelligence" reports says such ties between Osama Bin Laden and Saddam Hussein never existed. The Iraqi Air Force General must either have been paid by Bush to say it or he's ignorant of the central fact: Iraq is NOT a part of the War On Terror. It was a mistake and Saddam was never America's enemy. I'm sure you hear what the Democrats are saying here, General. And they will hate you just as they hate Bush.

(No more Olmert! No more Kadima! No more Oslo! )
