I guess all that footage of Coast Guard helos plucking people off their rooftops didn't really happen - must have been more of Karl Rove's mind control beams making us see what he wanted us to see, just like when he made us see two planes appear to hit the World Trade Center.

This is why I do not believe polls. The Rats can't help but say stupid things. Or get in trouble in NJ. Or take away the 1st amendment. Or take the enemies side.

Good news!

She just all but assured a Talent victory.

Particularly in rural areas all over Missouri, with the exception of two, possibly three counties in/near the bootheel.

McCaskill's a real, honest-to-G-d, ditz. There's no way to play the ''Katrina card'' -- which is nothing other than an unsubtle and unimaginative version of the ''race card'' -- to a Democrat's profit in Missouri. Black citizens of Missouri (I refuse to use 7 syllables when 1 syllable is entirely descriptive) already vote for a statewide Democrat on the order of 91-92%.

Talent's no prize; he's a self-important weenie, the chap you wanted to punch out in high school for being an officious dork. Even at that, he's far to be preferred to McCaskill.

This is more direct and to the point than the lobbyist allegations against Cantwell. Should help out Talent a bit, but I can't see this race ever becoming "certain" until Election Day.

because so many people in New Orleans did not have the resources to help themselves," Marsh added.

Well, golly gee whiz. The city had been run by democrats for decades - just where was the city Emergency Preparedness Plan and supplies that every city in America is supposed to have??? Oh, right, I remember reading it - it was a 'on paper only' plan - a look good ploy. Nothing to back it up . No food, water, supplies, evacuation means and routes = all things that are supposed to be the responsibility of the local officials for the first 2-4 days.

These DeimRAts are screaming "inaccuracies" on the ABC film = yet they continue to spew deliberate and slanderous lies...and no one calls them on it. WHY aren't WE shouting them down?

Let's hope that knocks her down about 3-4 points. Talent needs to have a soundclip of this to remind voters in about six weeks.

I heard about this a couple of days ago. Claire is toast, but I never believed it was as close as the polls indicated. They were run by the Post-Dispatch which ihas been rabidly liberal for as long as I have been here.

"But at least McCaskill has finally shown her true colors."

Personally I thought she did that when she declared Howard Dean was her hero.

I'm so sick of the radio ads now that I issue a "barf alert" everytime I hear one! I still don't think the people at work quite understand that one.

Powder..patch..Ball FIRE!

Jim Talent is much more than a weenie. His work for veterans has earned him the Lifetime Achievement award.

He is a tireless conservative and proponent of the family.

He is a staunch supporter of the 2nd amendment.

Want some more..?

No thanks. I'm going to vote for him anyway, so don't waste your time on that.

Exactly correct. This will shore up support for Talent with rural voters across the state.

I gotta leave for a while...but, I just saw on Fox News that CLINTON is in Missouri today, campaigning for McCaskill...

LOL...Let's hope his record of campaigning for losers stays intact.

BUT, I want to warn you...lock your doors, there is a rapist in your state.

LOL. I just saw that too. It made me feel dirty for some reason. Talent will win if he has taken vote fraud protection measures in St. Louis City and Kansas City.
