Ok....Explain your post.
Whoo Hoo! This is great! What is hilarious to me is that the Clinton's wanted us to think that all Bubba did was diddle Monica! Now they gripe because they think we think he was distracted by getting caught diddling Monica! I know that he hates the military and our constitutional form of government! That is the real truth! (that and he did diddle Monica! )
Unless your definition of "government" is very restrictive, government is doing it. License revocation for stations which show an "improperly edited" version have been threatened. Senators and Congressmen (D) have sent threatening letters.
It might not be pure censorship, but it sure as heck has a chilling effect on freedom of speech.
You can believe that if the Democrats had won the 2004 elections, or even just the Congressional ones, there would be real censorship on this one, even if sub rosa, through threats of license revocations that would carry real weight.
The Klintonistas want to watch continuation of that fantasy TV serial with Martin Sheen playing an idealized version of Bubba, when the sleaziest things were happening in the White House. I believe that this show was at its time a mental diversion not only for the Libs, but for the entire country that did not want to believe or think about the criminal doings of the Toon Gang. The fairy tale helped them forget and not lose their faith in the innocence and greatness of America. We're not a banana republic, are we?!
What good is a fictianlized account? Why not just put out the real truth, as it happened. That alone should skewer Clinton/burger/Gore-lick, etc. right?
I give the libs credit for standing up and fighting for what they feel is right, when so few conservatives did over that crap called Farenheit 9-11 and this new Gore drivel "inconvenient truth". I feel like we have some seriously spineless leaders, like Frist. We need more Reagans!
And let's not forget, Clinton perjured himslef in front of a federal judge about his "diddling".

(btw.... I hope you are well.)
If the movie is a lie than just sue? Afterall it is the liberal thing to do. BTW doesn't he know one of the top 100 women lawyers in America.
I heard by Rush and Medved, that the movie is hard on President Bush's Administration, particulary on Condi. You dont see us demanding changes.
Personally, I still dont see how the Bush administration is culpable in any way. They were in office only 8 months. Besides, he did not have his full cabinet in place as of yet.
God!! I am so glad I saw the light in 95.
Proud to be a conservative.
LOL. Good point.
Somehow, someday the truth will be known, not even the Evil One can stop Truth.
...I spoke a bit this morning during my show on WideAwakesRadio about the immaturity and churlishness of the left, and this is a perfect example. The cries for censorship from the champions of free speech is delightful to hear. The calls for slander lawsuits by public figures [Paul Begala urging Sandy "Just Stuff It In My Pants" Berger to sue] over a docudrama would be laughable were it not so demonstrably pitiful.
How soon they forget. The "documentary" Farenheit 9/11, All the President's Men, JFK, Nixon, the list goes on. All were efforts to synthesize into a few hours storylines that, in real time, took months, even years, to develop. Dramatic license was taken in all, including the melding together of certain real life characters for the screen. There were no shots across the bows of the producers of those movies with threats of regulatory witch-hunts as the Democrats are doing now.
The bottom line is that "The Path to 9/11" will serve to remind us not just of the gravity of what occurred five years ago this Monday, and of the intelligence failures that preceded it over the prior eight years, not just eight months.
They are afraid of this television program. They are truly afraid. And it's funny to watch.
The tried like hell with the 9-11 commission reports, and what about the papers in Burgers socks we'll never see again? Those were likely the last copy in existence.
ozzymandus, I was shocked at his attitude about this movie. For weeks Glenn has been talking about how the Islamo-fascists want to kill us all and the West could be history. It is my understanding that this movie is not about the Presidents as much as it is about showing the American people who the real enemy is and the danger that is still present. Yet, Glenn didn't want to talk about that at all. You would think this movie would be right up his alley with all the "insights" he has recently had on the enemy. I was really surprised.
Clinton and the demmies are blackmailing and threatening ABC, but Al Gore doesn't care about *that*!!
http://tinyurl.com/kjkwx
"In a statement Friday, former Vice President Al Gore said, "I am deeply concerned that ABC is considering going forward with their plans to broadcast this so-called docudrama."
Bwahahahahahahahaha!! ABC is the threat after all this time, not those pesky terrorists!! How stupid were we???
/sarc off
Perhaps I will get banned for foul language but I have had enough. I cannot believe this son of a bitch could actually distort a mainstream program to his satisfaction.
This is un-fu**ing real to me.
You know, I used to think so. But not now. Those people just seem to slide by. If it is true that ABC supressed parts of this movie, we are lost. To see a group of Senators in thier offical capacity threaten a broadcast group like this is shocking.
Glenn got CNN-itis.
CITIZENS shut this down. This was accomplished through individual citizens writing, individual citizens expressing their individual and personal opinions.
No Senate leader, no elected official, no member of Congress, no former President used their power to threatened a station's license and future ability to broadcast.
It would be most helpful if your learn the difference between citizen activism and government intervention before you comment.
Good, you said it for me.
