The Path To 9/11 - Clinton Goes After ABC Harder Than He Pursued Bin-Laden
Pipeline News ^ | 07 September 2006

Posted on 09/08/2006 8:07:15 PM PDT by Lando Lincoln

he Clintonistas are coming....in a panic borne of the necessity - to dispel the truth regarding how the Clinton administration failed on numerous occasions to apprehend or kill bin-Laden - the Clintonistas and Democrat party hacks like Richard Ben-Veniste alike are rising en-masse in a last ditch attempt to censor ABC's upcoming 6 hour docudrama "The Path To 9/11."

Clinton representatives drafted a four page letter to Disney Chair Michael Iger - ABC's parent company - demanding the film be censored or barring that its suppression.

"The content of this drama is factually and incontrovertibly inaccurate and ABC has the duty to fully correct all errors or pull the drama entirely..."

Ben Veniste attended an August screening of the film at the National Press Club and reportedly was so upset by the portrayal of Clinton as more intent on diddling Monica Lewinsky than dealing with bin-Laden that he got in the face of writer/producer Cyrus Nowrasteh and Gov. Thomas H. Kean [chair of the 9/11 Commission and a consultant on the project].

ABC - so far anyway - seems intent on sticking to its plan to air the now controversial film on Sunday and Monday evening, September 10th & 11th - the fifth anniversary of the attack.

"The Path to 9/11 is a dramatization, not a documentary, drawn from a variety of sources, including the 9/11 commission report, other published materials and from personal interviews."The events that lead to 9/11 originally sparked great debate, so it's not surprising that a movie surrounding those events has revived the debate. "The attacks were a pivotal moment in our history that should never be forgotten and it's fitting that the discussion continues." - ABC Television, September 7, 2006

Whether the film makes it to television relatively intact remains to be seen at this point. Ominously ABC has said that it is still being edited just days ahead of its slated debut.

The Clintonista's strong arm tactics with ABC speaks volumes regarding how fragile the Clinton legacy actually is, with a singular event threatening to sink his carefully crafted legacy of deceit.

The last word on this...for now anyway.

If anyone doubts the inherent Stalinism of the nutroots kiddies whom Harry Reid and Rahm Emanuel bend over to accommodate, one only needs to contemplate their intent to block internet access to anything but their own twisted version of "The Path to 9/11" via what they are calling a Google-bomb.

A Google-bomb - in theory only because it seems to us that the folks at Google should be able to program their algorithm's around such obvious fakery - consists of flooding the internet with thousand or even millions of cloned web pages to enforce the party line content on this whole sickening affair via manipulating key word functions and therefore their ranking order in search engines.

If there is anything that pisses off the higher ups at Google it is intentionally attempting to manipulate how the internet's most used search engine works, and the little despots in training at the lefty blogs might very well get a very rude awakening if and when they attempt this stunt.

This kind of pressure and censureship is appalling.

From what I understand, key players were misquoted and accounts fictionalized.

It's nothing more than crap if it's not historically accurate, so I hope if it's not, these edits make it so.

The children running Google are as left wing as it gets.

They will WELCOME the leftwing actions.

Can you imagine the screaming, the tearing of clothes and the howl of 'Censorship!!' if Bush had even hinted about wanting Michael Moores "Farenheit 911" edited.

Funny, Kerry worked to supress the Swift Boat Vets - but that wasn't censorship.

Clinton is trying to shut down the 911 docu-drama - but that isn't censorship.

Republicans grumbled about the slash-job on Ronald Reagan - that WAS called censorship.

No double standard here, huh?

It's not censorship if it's not the govenrment doing so.

Conservatives shut down the fictionalized Reagan story anoout a year or so ago, and thankfully so. It was not historically accurate.

I just caught Glen "I'm a conservative" beck on CNN headline news defending the clinton attacks on this movie. It didn't take long for ol' glen to show his true colors as a typical left-wing MSN RAT lapdog. I knew he was a phony 'conservative', but I didn't understand why CNN hired him until now.

But the government is doing it. Didn't you see the Senate Democrat's letter?

The producer called into Sean Hannity's show and said ABC bowed to political pressure.

As to Reagan's film, there are substantial differences there.

#1. Not a single Republican legislator in Congress called CBS to apply pressure.

#2. CBS didn't make any changes to the movie.

#3. The movie did air, but on a cable channel. Unedited.

This kind of pressure and censorship is unprecendented. Usually, it's the grassroots that initiate action (see the Reagan docudrama) and attempt to drag politicians into it (not often successfully.) Here the politicos lead. And how!

This episode illustrate the point I've been making for years that the Lefties are all about power and nothing but power and have got their shiite together when it comes to holding power, wielding power and protecting their power. See the 90 years of Communism, 1989 notwithstanding. And they're good at it. Everything else is secondary, everything else they're incompetent doing (see the 90 years of Communism, see North Korea's economy, see the Waco episode, see the handling of bin Laden, etc, etc.) We are witnessing a classic case of their superb ability to act when threatened. ABC will fold, if it hasn't yet.

Unless you can point me to where the Clintonistas objected to "Fahrenheit 911" because "key players were misquoted and accounts were fictionalized", you need to stop this BS.

A bit of an aside...

Richard Miniter was on Howie Carr's radio show (Boston area) today and the topic was this ABC feature and the Clintonistas.

Miniter said he did Joe Scarborough's MSNBC show earlier this week but vowed never to do it again because Scarborough blindsided him and at the end of a disagreement between Roger Cressey and Miniter, Scarborough praised Cressey for being a nonpartisan sort and apparently sided with him. Carr asked "What has become of Scarborough's politics?"

No problem. It was pretty shocking to me last night to read that letter from Senate Democrats; I've never seen anything like it.

And we went to a neighborhood party tonight and every single person mentioned it. Even the one Democrat in this neighborhood was shocked and disgusted.

And when my husband told him this is what the Democrats do when not in power, what will they do when they are in power, the guy got pale. LOL

Clinton visible motive is state censorship, next will be Freedom of Assembly (blogs) and Freedom of Thought. The Democratic National Party's brownshirts or Nazi KOS terrorists will use a campaign of violence and intimidation.

Read Hillary's Secret War for which Jim Robinson wrote the foreward and FR is featured in the book.

You'll find plenty to be scared about. Hillary knows the internet is not her friend. Too easy to do research, spread the word and archive all of her past misdeeds.
