Having traveled in the Soviet Union several times, I got used to reading the headlines in Pravda, Novosti, etc. The wording used by apparatchiks in those days of Stalinist repression are now being echoed by the Democratic National Committee on its website. The DNC is frothing at the mouth in the hopes of stifling freedom of expression -- a TV show, namely ABC's "The Path To 911." What's really frightening is that the Democratic Senate leadership has threatened to revoke ABC's broadcast license if it doesn't censor the 911 drama. Here is the DNC in its own words -- proving that the mini-series has hit too close to home:

Keep a TV show off the air in the home of the free, land of the brave? And this is being advocated by a party that calls itself "democratic?" Here is the Democrats' not so veiled threat to ABC:
Presenting such deeply flawed and factually inaccurate misinformation to the American public and to children would be a gross miscarriage of your corporate and civic responsibility to the law, to your shareholders, and to the nation.The Communications Act of 1934 provides your network with a free broadcast license predicated on the fundamental understanding of your principle obligation to act as a trustee of the public airwaves in serving the public interest. Nowhere is this public interest obligation more apparent than in the duty of broadcasters to serve the civic needs of a democracy by promoting an open and accurate discussion of political ideas and events.

I've gone after my Senators for all the good it's going to do. The question needs to be asked on the Senate floor if the five, Commie idiots that wrote the letter have stepped over the boundaries into Communism, Fascism and Nazism. I believe they have. Threats and intimidation is not "the American way." I've yet to see the Bush Administration threaten and intimidate anyone for a film or a book. Lord knows there is some real garbage out there. Beginning with Mikey "Cream Puff" Moore's fantasy and the BBC's Death of a President.
What are the dems wanting edited out and why? That would be interesting to know.
Us discussing this amongst ourselves is pretty meaningless. The entire GOP needs to pounce on this attempt at government extortion being attempted by the Demoncrats and not only loudly condemn it in no uncertain terms but censure those Senators who orchestrated this extortion.

Seems to me it high time the government got reminded that they should fear the people and not Vice Versa!

Yet "Fahrenheit 9/11" was hailed as a "documentary" and the recipient of numerous awards at Cannes etc. by simpering liberals, despite misrepresentation and outright lies.
All those words are the hallmark of any Michael Moore production.
When the hypocrisy crosses the line into the ridiculous for no other reason than outright, indefensible partisanship, you know you are dealing with a group of people that could only be called ignorant if you were being charitable and practically evil if you were being fair and accurate.
If the sheer disproportionate response (to steal a favorite word from the Isreal haters) to this and the disgraceful treatment of President Bush's TANG record (and complete oversight of Kerry's mysterious record of cowardice and deceit) aren't enough to convince you that the Democrats are not the party you want running the country, than little else will.
In fact, this coordinated response by "concerned" Democrats is highly reminiscent of the response they had to the heroic Swiftboat vets and John O'Neil.
I think we need a new word to combine dispicable, seditious, hypocritical, self serving, anti-American and extreme leftist/socialist.
Oh wait! We have it: it is "Democrat" (emphasis on the "rat").

Well, I can't wait for the Democrat National Convention to be televised in 2008 so that we can call for the cancellation due to the democrats not sticking to the truthful facts and it's not right to televise left wing propaganda even though the democrats are best known for doing a lot of squealing vemon and bleeding heart drama.

For years, I as a Christian man have had to sit by in humility why my Savior has been degraded, mocked, and ridiculed. In the so-called "art" form of mixing Jesus with urine, the portrayal of Him in the DaVinci Code and other depictions, the left has cried "Freedom of Speech!"
In my world we have a being who works, under the title of 'the god of this age', to see to it that the Christ is blasphemed. He is also know as 'the father of lies' and 'a murderer from the beginning'. He is also know for 'appearing as an angel of light'.
So you see when I see the left condemning the blasphemous art forms out there and in fact fighting for them to exist, and then now suppressing this 'art form' on the grounds of 'lack of truth', it's more than just blatant hypocrisy, more than just dispicable and seditious, self serving, and anti-American.

And I don't recall the President, nor members of the Republican majority in the House and Senate, threatening the movie industry as did the Stalincrats threaten ABC. There were rebuttals, sure, even from liberals, or people who weren't too wild about President Bush...but they were rebuttals from citizens, commentators, not from governmental officials.
And by the way, where does this end? If the CSG (Clinton Shadow Government) can say that what happened didn't happen, with regard to this, what else will they get away with? Or, perhaps more accurately, what will we allow them to get away with?
Not just him...leadership from both parties went to the premiere of F911.
"Fahrenheit 9/11" contained at least 59 deceits and outright lies... Clinton and his minions are complaining about 3 minutes out of 5 hours of carefully researched and documented entertainment film. Apparently it is "too sensitive" and not accurate enough to show before an election. "Fahrenheit 9/11" was shown before an election, and Bush won. So, what does Clinton have to worry about? Perhaps the truth means something to Clinton, as something to fear.
