Folks,
She's an officer. Not enlisted. She's an officer. Officers don't go AWOL in her circumstance. She could just make a phone call and say she won't be in on some particular day. If she wanted several days off, that's a phone call too.
Making major at age 33 is not unusual. She finished college/Academy on time, which would translate to 2nd Lt at age 21, 1st Lt at age 23ish, then Captain at age 25. She's 33. Eight yrs as a Captain is very normal.
There is nothing unusual in her rank/age.
Looks like the exact same story actually.
Her husband said the military had sent about 20 "special personnel" to look for her.
Between this post and your obvious belief that she was married in August (when the article says April), you should practice your reading comprehension skills. I agree that there may be more to this, but I have enough sense to know that it is also very possible that she was abducted. We shall see.
Wouldn't be a big shock to see this thread show up in print or on a lot of blogs.
No, but she is a USAF Major and deserves some respect until something comes out to the contrary...especially from a fat a-- sitting comfortably in his chair in the states.
Do you read the replys before posting?
It is hard to imagine how anyone would leap to the conclusion that this officer was anything other then a victim of foul play.
btt
Thank you! I was beginning to think some of the posters here had crawled over from the DUmmies forum to troll.
This should NOT have been a thread about whether or not women should be serving in war zones, but simply a thread that this officer was found and was found alive. Thank G-d.
As sickened as I was about comments toward the FOX reporters taken hostage by the leftists, this makes me equally sick.
finally voices of reason! Glad to see you here, I am sure Jill is grateful for your support.
I'm afraid you're right about it being a male. Nothing funny about this...may turn out she flaked out, but to start off with that hypothesis with so little to go on is ridiculous.
Oh Yeah I can see it now.......
Hillary loves us all's Freeper FUNNIES,"hOW fREEPERS SUPPORT THE MILITARY"
Better question is do you read the article before posting?
Speculating is of no use at all.
Just my opinion.
Was that in the original post? I believe not.
Simple explanation. Jealousy; bigotry. It brings out the very best. ;)
I had prayed this woman be found alive and was thrilled to hear on the news she was and looked here FR to get more details. I was sickened by what I read here, it was like some evil democrat forum. What on earth?
I was interested especially since my USAF son is being deployed to that base in January and I had just the day before checked it out on the web to learn about the base and the country.
This USAF Major was excited to be going home in a week, and going on her honeymoon and had gone shopping with a group to buy souvenirs for her family and obviously was abducted. Praise God she got out of it alive.
Fighter jets and C-17s used in war in Afghanistan and nearby areas are stationed here.
For God's sake, you people who posted all those smarta.. remarks, and who set yourself up in judgement about one of our military should be ashamed and should think about what motivated this public nastiness to someone who should have been given at the least the benefit of the doubt. This is the first time I've really seen something like this on FR involving a deployed military officer.
The article in its entirety is quoted in post #96.
