Murtha seems to follow the axiom of never letting the truth get in the way of political ambition..... That is an understatement. It looks like that has been his policy for his entire political career and possibly prior to it.
Many statements he's made just in the past six months have been untrue and when they're pointed out to him he will not address them, he just ignores them.

There is no shame in making money working as a contractor for the DOD.
Especially if the work involves refurbishing vehicles to be used as part of what will be the ultimate protection force of the citizens.
The left will use anything to defeat a true conservative, so I'm not surprised at any of this.
What concerns me is how those men were killed.
"Wrong place wrong time?" or deliberate executions?
