A new videotape aired on Aljazeera television has shown Osama bin Laden and senior al-Qaeda members meeting some of the men who carried out the September 11 attacks against the US in 2001. The 90-minute video apparently shows bin Laden, the leader of al-Qaeda, taking part in the planning and preparation of the attacks that killed nearly 3,000 people... The footage, first aired on Thursday, also shows Abu Hafsa al-Masri, al-Qaeda's then military leader, and Ramzi bin al-Shaiba, co-ordinator of the 9/11 attacks, meeting in al-Qaeda's training camps in Taliban controlled Afghanistan. The tape also says that a previous unknown Arab Islamist, Abu al-Turab al-Urduni, supervised the training for the attacks. The video said the preparation for the attacks included not only flight training but also lessons in street-fighting and how to forge official documents. The video also showed two of the 19 Islamists who took part in the attacks, Saudi nationals Hamza al-Ramdi and Wael el-Shemari. The men said that their actions were inspired by an urge to avenge the suffering of Muslims in Bosnia and Chechnya. Ramzi bin al-Shaiba was captured by the US in 2002. He is now reportedly being held in Guantanamo Bay. Aljazeera has aired only three minutes of the tape. Afghanistan training camp Parts of the tape show bin Laden - wearing a dark robe and white head gear - strolling through an Afghan training camp, greeting dozens of followers, some masked, some barefaced, many carrying automatic weapons. Aljazeera said that among those he greeted in the footage were several of the 9/11 hijackers but their faces were not clear, and it was not immediately known which ones were shown. In one scene, bin Laden addresses the camera, calling on Muslims to support the hijackers. "I ask you to pray for them and to ask God to make them successful, aim their shots well, set their feet strong and strengthen their hearts," bin Laden said. The comments were apparently filmed before the attacks but never before released. The footage also shows scenes of training at the camp. That's right. The hijackers claimed they were going to fly airplanes into important buildings in New York and DC to "avenge the suffering of Muslims in Bosnia and Chechnya." Never mind that the United States helped fight a war to try to protect the Muslim population in Bosnia. (In fact, we still have troops stationed there as peacekeepers.)
Bosnia-Herzegovina - The US Army's Role In Peace Enforcement Operations 1995-2004 ...In a complex series of diplomatic and political maneuvers, four of the six republics-Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, and Macedonia-separated from Yugoslavia between 1991 and 1992. Each secession was contested, with the most horrific destruction and violence occurring in centrally located Bosnia-Herzegovina. At least half of the entire population-more than two million people-was directly affected by a civil war that lasted from April 1992 to November 1995. Efforts by the United Nations and the European Union were ignored, cease-fires were not honored, civilians were massacred, and entire villages were destroyed. The ethnic cleansing that ravaged the country defied any semblance of restraint or responsibility.
Spurred by U.S. leadership, a peace agreement was signed in December 1995 authorizing the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) to intervene. As called for in the agreement, the NATO Implementation Force consisting of 60,000 military personnel, one-third of them American, was to enforce the peace and to facilitate the reconstruction of the country. To this end, a total of three successive peace enforcement operations were undertaken: JOINT ENDEAVOR, JOINT GUARD, and JOINT FORGE... And never mind that Chechnya is the bailiwick of the Soviet Union Russia and a matter we have no control over whatsoever. Apparently the hijackers made no mention of any of the motives usually attributed to them. Such as their anger at the US presence in Saudi Arabia, or our support for Israel, or even their general hatred of Western decadence. But of course we will never hear anything again about the 9/11 terrorists' actual motives. Not from the guardians of truth in our one party media. They won't allow any rewrites of their version of 9/11.

Cover-Up of Scandal at Justice and IRS?
The Evans-Novak Political Report includes an item I've heard nothing about:
Democrats have their own scandal brewing at the moment, but they are doing much better in covering it up than their Republican counterparts. At issue is the report by David Barrett, the last remaining U.S. independent counsel. Over ten years, Barrett has spent $21 million on the investigation of former Housing Secretary Henry Cisneros, who lied to FBI investigators about hush money paid to an ex-mistress.
The reason the report and the investigation have taken so long is that allies to Cisneros and the legal team of former President Bill Clinton at the powerhouse Washington law firm of Williams and Connolly have fought its progress in court at every step. Meanwhile, Clinton-sympathetic judges have sealed everything concerned with the case, including Barrett's report.
The report contains shocking allegations of high-level corruption in the Internal Revenue Service and Justice Department under Clinton, which Barrett found as Clinton aides monitored his investigation and sought to derail it in order to cover up the Cisneros matter. A regional IRS official had formulated a new rule enabling him to transfer an investigation of Cisneros to Washington to be buried by the Justice Department. Barrett's investigators found Lee Radek, head of Justice's public integrity division, determined to protect President Bill Clinton.
A recently passed appropriations bill, intended to permit release of this report, was altered by Democrats behind closed doors to ensure that its politically combustible elements never see the light of day. Democrats succeeded in inserting instructions into the bill's conference report that are very broad and will allow judges to continue suppressing the report. Three of the toughest Democrats in Congress -- Sen. Carl Levin, Sen. Byron Dorgan and Rep. Henry Waxman -- have been behind the effort to suppress, and they have done it effectively.
It's remarkable what the Democrats can accomplish despite being in the minority. One can only imagine what they got away with when they were the majority.

Chris Wallace is no Brit Hume. Wallace was thoroughly disgusting. This attempt at censorship -- had President Bush even threatened anything like this, there would have been impeachment resolutions filed by now -- I find appalling. But the American people don't seem to see it.
