The most important thing to remember is that there are uncut versions out there - Rush has all 5 hours - and we need to make sure those versions are WIDELY available. Perhaps some wealthy conservative could make an arrangment to make copies available to every public school, every public library, and every public official in the country, with copies available to the public at the cost of production and shipping.

Bootleg distribution is inevitable. The Clintonistas will be fighting youtube.com & other online video P2Ps within weeks if not days.

This will be very instructive to "conservatives". It will be a preview of how the left will try to clampdown on the Internet - as well as talk radio - if they are allowed to take power. But I guess some will say this will ONLY spite the republican politicians.

It seems that ABC Entertainment commissioned this movie and paid $40 million for it. They would, therefore, own the rights to it, in all its forms and edits. They can do what they want with it.

"Fair Use" for scholarly purposes giving only a DVD with the missing parts for research comparison purposes should cover it. Of course, in other countries where piracy is common it could be put on the web for download....

I'm no copyright lawyer, but I would say that it would be entirely appropriate to take the original and then compare it with what was shown to the public and report it as news, specifically when you tie it to the cencorship/extortion angle.

Plus, if anyone tried to sue you, the very stuff everyone wants hidden would become public record.
