Lopez: In sum, how many times did Bill Clinton lose bin Laden?

Miniter: Here's a rundown. The Clinton administration:

1. Did not follow-up on the attempted bombing of Aden marines in Yemen.

2. Shut the CIA out of the 1993 WTC bombing investigation, hamstringing their effort to capture bin Laden.

3. Had Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, a key bin Laden lieutenant, slip through their fingers in Qatar.

4. Did not militarily react to the al Qaeda bombing in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

5. Did not accept the Sudanese offer to turn bin Laden.

6. Did not follow-up on another offer from Sudan through a private back channel.

7. Objected to Northern Alliance efforts to assassinate bin Laden in Afghanistan.

8. Decided against using special forces to take down bin Laden in Afghanistan.

9. Did not take an opportunity to take into custody two al Qaeda operatives involved in the East African embassy bombings. In another little scoop, I am able to show that Sudan arrested these two terrorists and offered them to the FBI. The Clinton administration declined to pick them up and they were later allowed to return to Pakistan.

10. Ordered an ineffectual, token missile strike against a Sudanese pharmaceutical factory.

11. Clumsily tipped off Pakistani officials sympathetic to bin Laden before a planned missile strike against bin Laden on August 20, 1998. Bin Laden left the camp with only minutes to spare.

12-14. Three times, Clinton hesitated or deferred in ordering missile strikes against bin Laden in 1999 and 2000.

15. When they finally launched and armed the Predator spy drone plane, which captured amazing live video images of bin Laden, the Clinton administration no longer had military assets in place to strike the archterrorist.

16. Did not order a retaliatory strike on bin Laden for the murderous attack on the USS Cole.

Well, here's what I think ABC should do. They should call the FBI, and say they have received a threatening letter. Something applies here...mail fraud, extortion, blackmail, abuse of power, etc. Something.

Yep, I would call the FBI and have them start an investigation.

IMHO Ben-Veniste, Kerrey and other partisan hacks were instrumental in veering any blame away from the Clinton Admin. when preparing their report. Perhaps he should ask Tom Keane how HE could have misinterpreted a report he had a hand in writing since he worked closely with ABC to insure an accurate accounting of what took place.

Me thinks they all protest too much as the truth is hitting home.

If I had to guess here is how I see this thing shaking out. If we were a stronger party or adm. for that matter, a party that someone like disney could come to and reasonably expect to get help they probably would not edit or kill the mini-series. As we are currently viewed, my guess is Disney will either edit or kill all together the series since they really have no where to turn for help against top Dem senators who will do literally anything to get their way.

Even though we control both houses and have a republican president you would never know it. We come off as weak and timid whenever the dems pull stuff like this. We have had opportunity after opportunity to go after dems or others who have committed acts such as this and even far worse. We don't do it for some unknown reason and now will be no exception.

So I expect, seeing reality the way it is, Disney will fold. They realize that all the legal help in the world won't help them if key dem senators want to go after them, and there is no one to stop them.

Save for us here in the New Media there are few checks to the demon rats, thats why they still exist.

Would this be a good time to bring up again Dan Rather and CBS' attempt to meddle in the 2004 election by bringing forth fake Texas Na. Guard documents?

I tell you, this is going to backfire on the Democrats because now the entire blogosphere, talk radio, and every other conservative media outlet is on to what the Dems are trying to do here, and this will only strengthen the motivation of the Republican base to get out and defeat the Democrats this year.
