It's likely there were 20,000,000 of these criminals in the US by 2003...

And the numbers increase by the thousands per day...
How do they know this???
We were if you had good looking daughters!
"Does that make their assertion incorrect?"
not saying one way or the other, I'd just say it makes a little top heavy
Perfectly legal, and good capitalism to boot!
susie
heck, there are 20 million here in the city of Los Angeles.
My conservative guess would be that there are 30 to 50 million illegals in the USofA.
I've been saying from 30 to 50 million for ages....sometimes got heckled for it.
There were probably 15-20 million here in 2000, when the Gov reported 8 million illegals.
The real point is that the problem is one hell of a lot worse than most think or willing to admit.
The way we are headed, the population will be comprised of 1/3 illegals and their offspring. Probably by 2030.
There have probably been 10 million just in overstayed visas. Look it up!
In Arizona last year, they were catching 160,000 per month. Since they only catch from 1 out of 5 or possibly, one out of 10....you can do the math. This is from people involved at the border!
They are coming from all over the world to get here. This administration has rolled out the red carpet.
Even that number is too low. There are at least 68 million illegal aliens (including anchor babies).
Build the walls! Secure our borders now!
Whatever....
The point is that illegal immigration numbers are all about politics. The term "illegal immigrant" is hated by supporters of open borders precisely because "illegal immigrant" describes too directly what is obviously going on. Supporters of unlimited open immigration want us to see illegal immigrants as "unauthorized migrants," or "undocumented immigrants," even as "guest workers." Spin is in and simple English is the enemy.
These people are invaders. Something our government leaders are supposed to protect us against. They have broken their oath to protect and defend the constitution.
Briefly, a relatively constant percentage of Hispanic surnames was found in state and local government documents from 1900 to 1950. Documents that generally reflect citizenship and residential stability (tax records, school records, etc.). Annual migrations to secure work in California's agricultural industry occurred routinely during the period but those immigrants returned to Mexico when the agricultural harvests ended. They were home for Christmas!
Beginning after WWII that pattern changed. The percentage of Hispanics on government records began to increase out of all proportion to prevailing reproductive rates and visa grants. The increases accelerated coincident to the Bracero Program and dramatically increased after Reagan authorized the first federal amnesty in 1986.
Today, over 50% of the births recorded in California have a Hispanic surname and California's public school population is approaching 40% for students with Hispanic surnames.
Direct evidence? No. A pretty good indication of the magnitude and recent nature of the problem? Yes.
Bear stearns has no reasone to lie to you. They don't have to get re-elected. Eh Jorge Bush?
About 15 years ago I sometimes visited a laundromat on the edge of a large urban area. Once a week a school bus would arrive full of farm workers who wanted to do their weekly laundry and shopping. The strange thing was that all these people were extremely short. The men were all not much over five feet, although they all wore cowboy hats that seemed partially intended to add to their height. The women were really tiny, all well under five feet. These people seemed to have darker skins than most Mexicans. I figured that they had some sort of Indian background.
Getting a close estimate of the number of illegals seems like a difficult statistical problem.
