[Wait for the spin that Bush is in collusion with oil companies to have lower gasoline prices in order to sway voters for the upcoming elections.]

I AM waiting for it. I hope the Democrats are just stupid enough to try that as a campaign tactic.

"Hey American voter. Mr. Bush and his party have been working behind the scenes to make the price of gasoline GO DOWN! If you are tired of their dirty tricks of lower gas prices and want to see the price shoot back up to 3 or even 4 dollars a gallon, then vote for a Democrat on election day."

Yes, I think they might just be stupid enough to try this. Again.

Joe could start a new moderate party for dems alienated by the extremism that has taken hold of the democrats. Imagine if Zell Miller and Joe pulled together to do this?
A party for JFK dems. Not Kerry moonbats.
I am sure that is why they are very concerned about Joe winning. There are ramifications to his victory they cannot ignore. If he loses, it all goes away.

If I were in Connecticut and the Republican had no shot at winning, I'd vote for Lieberman.

Major dittos. So would I. I like Lieberman just as I liked Zell. Since he is running as an independent I wouldn't be breaking my word to never again vote for a democrat. Once elected they walk the liberal line or else.

[What excuse will the hezbocrats and moron.org use when Lamont loses by a landslide?]

1) Republican fraud stole the election
2) The religious right rallied their sycophantic followers with outrageous scare tactics and hate speech
3) TheNeoCons conspired with TheChristianRight/ThePope/TheMafia/SpaceAliens

After witnessing the dramatic downhill slide in organized thought that these places have demonstrated over the past few years, I will not be surprised if I see any or all of the above theories seriously presented.

So?
Safe seat for the Dems there, but doesn't count for majority if he is "Independent".

OTOH, Harris of Florida, as the future new junior Republican Senator from Florida owes the national Republican "party" nothing, but will caucus with them 99% of the time, if they agree with me,err... her, on the major issues facing the Senate.

Probably already started.
Don't ever lose sight of the possibility that this whole
Lieberman thing is meant to show that democrats have distinctive
egalitarion values. You can be sure Hillary will act
like Lieberman is hero if he wins, and get the feel good underdog
voters to like her...don't underestimate her cunning.

If he wins you still get a democrat who votes
modern democrat most of the time. And when we finally
pull out of Iraq, he will be considered a brave man
who spoke his mind (typical original Democrat values).
Don;t let the Dem's media manipulators fool ;ya.

Today's speech has me thinking that Democratic Hawks, let alone Republicans, may not be such an endangered species after all.

The likes of John Kerry lamenting the fruitful CIA coercive interrogations ("a sad chapter") at his peril.

And to think all the Dem leaders have climbed in bed with Lamont. Gotta hand it to them Dummycrats...

Worse. He will go as an independant and, letting bygones be bygones, will switch to D and all will swoon at his feet. These bastards have no principles at all, period.

So much for the Dems being in tune with the general public's views.

I rather thought that this would happen. He enjoys some popularity in the State and he now has "Outsider" status because of his mistreatment at the hands of his own party.

If gas went down to $1 per gallon, the Dems would run ads non-stop saying that the GOP kept gas prices high so they could lower them right before the election.

It would backfire big time.

Yeah, even though their own primary could only gather 51% of CT Democrats willing to demand troops be brought home yesterday despite the consequences.

If Joe had gotten in the low forty's at least, their argument would have been slightly more impressive. The GOP base is lopsidely against Lamont's position. And Independents seem to strongly prefer Leiberman.

I hope Chrissy taped Lamont's victory speech. He won't be getting a sequel.

While this is a campaign poll, I've no doubt Leiberman will win comfortably.

That means he'll continue his stance on the War for another six years. Aside from that I really don't know what he'll do. CT is a liberal state. He's a liberal. He'll continue to support Liberal domestic policy because he's representing liberals. The real question is on what issues he'll choose to make the Dem leadership pay. Oh, he'll align with Democrats for the caucus vote. But that doesn't mean he won't charge high rates for his services in votes and campaigns. And it doesn't mean, on rare occassion, he won't deliberately cast a decisive vote against the Dems with the Reps in vengenace.

I thought he called them up and told them to cut prices before the election. Halliburton is in charge of the price cutting.

Seeing Kos maintain the 100% record will be nice.

I hope Lieberman becomes the anti-Bernie Sanders and periodically pees in Kennedy's, Biden's & Ried's Cheerios at well placed times!

Add Murtha to that humiliation list along with the rest of the Liberals that want to jeopardize our security and our freedoms.

I hear Lament is a "Red Diaper Baby"...anyone heard that as well?

Actually I think Lamont's father worked in the Nixon administration. The reference was no doubt to his great uncle, Corliss Lamont, blueblood socialist extraordinaire.
