We do, conquering nations is just a step in the process sometimes. I go to a restaraunt to get fed, ordering the meal is a step in that process.

Besides, don't take it out of context. My comment was in referrence to the idiot Russian diplomat who was trying to compare Israel's self defensive maneuver to a necessary US invasion of Iran.

The point was on the assumption that we have to go in, their could be no tactical comnparison.

Of course they are. Not all of them are headchoppers. They have Russian citizenship, can move freely, can do whatever they want. There are Chechen in parliament, in president administration, in police. Often they have quite good education, but problem with them is, that their ancient traditions of slave-trading, vendetta and living by big clans are still alive, as 200 years ago. Relatives must help to each other, and must not give away relatives to nobody, must remember enemies of their clan and avenge. For 10 years of war in Chechnya population there doubled. Many Chechen have grown and become adult during war. Nobody knows, what to do, how to straighten situation.
