(09-06) 14:30 PDT PHOENIX (AP) --
Charles Barkley insists he's serious about running for governor of Alabama, but he's got to move back there first.
"I can't run until 2014," he said. "I have to live there for seven years, so I'm looking for a house there as we speak."

he was my favorite player growing up, and he is funny on TNT
but otherwise, he is an idiot, and should steer clear of politics.
Stick with gambling and bar fights.

"I can't run until 2014," That's eight years from now. The good news is that by then eveyone will be asking, "Who in the hell is Charles Barkley?"

Who knew Cee-Lo and Danger Mouse were interested in politics? You learn something new every day... Alabama? So, does this all mean that they're going to do a cover of Mountain Music? That will be interesting...

"I hate White people"

I saw him walk out of a bar in La Jolla a few years back with 3 white women, he certainly didn't hate them. To be fair one guy at our table was a big fan, went over to say hello and Barkley stopped by our table and chatted for 2-3 minutes on the way out (with said 3 white women).

I like Charles, but then I like Gnarls better.

He won't make it.
Those of us who would have voted for him are disgusted by his switch to the RAT party.
Bama people won't vote for him because he went to Auburn.
White people won't vote for him because he hates us.
Some blacks MIGHT vote for him but it won't be enough to make it through the primary.

Charles should stick to what he does best, goofing on Kenny Smith and Sam Cassell. If we were running for Alabama Roastmaster, he would get my vote.
