Good heavens, that sounds just like something Juan Williams would say.

But Congress AND the Supreme Court has said the buck doesn't stop with Bush. That's what it's all about...taking away the powers and decisions of the Commander & Chief.

Does this dude know how our government works??

He didn't pass the buck .. he needs Congress to pass laws so that he can enforce them

Was the guy Joe Reeder
http://www.gtlaw.com/biographies/biography.asp?id=1259

Joe Reeder, a former Army undersecretary during President Clinton's term in the White House, said there is definitely a need for separate legal proceedings for terror suspects not considered formal prisoners of war. He said the problem posed by Thursday's ruling is "easily solved" if Congress will "fix this" by passing legislation authorizing the tribunals.

Didn't hear what he said because I was typing what had been said earlier (Post #757).

The guy is a moron. The president cannot make laws and he is obliged to pass them. He has, under direction of the USSC asked the Congress to pass legislation that will allow him to do what he wants.

Had he not and just continued to do as we were doing, this same as*hole would be accusing the president of "taking the law into his own hands"

Who was this guy?

YYYYYY

I'm just catching up on this thread now. Do you remember if the Fox idiot who made the above remark was a staffer or a guest? That has to be one of the dumbest things ever voiced on that channel.
