THAT is why the networks aren't showing this. Even the soap opera watchers would understand this, and that hurts the left.
You may be right. It is pathetic that our POTUS has to go on national TV and explain methods used to protect our people because the MSM and the oppositon Party are more interested in political gain than those protections.

this is the fight that had to come at some point. it was inevitable. nothing can be gained from more delay.
Bush is serving it up for all americans to see - "here are the scumbags directly responsible for 9/11, how many rights do you (the congress, and through it, we the people) do you want to give them at trial."
Basically, the President is telling us of things they wanted to do to us about which we did not know and would not have found out but for our interrorgation program...which he says is safe and legal (I'm sure it is). He's getting out ahead of that stupid McCain and Graham. Those two want you to get hit before we mount our humane and legalistic efforts to "bring them to justice."
I can just see it now..
Bill O'Reilly and others will have ACLU lawyers on tonight saying that Bush messed with these terrorists "rights" by revealing this stuff today...and that they would never get a "fair trial"...

But why would they have started during Clinton's years, when CNN broke in a dozen years before the Impeached Rapist soiled the Oral Office?

Information from terrorists in CIA custody have given leaks, photo identification, places where terrorists were hiding and let us take mass murderers off the streets before they could kill again.
They've painted a picture of logistics and travel routes and safe haven and how senior operatives communicate. The information has allowed us to make sense of documents and computer information we've seized in raids.
They've identified voices in intercepted calls. The info we get from these detainees is corroborated from intelligence and otehr sources and we've connected dots and stopped

Talking about all the arrests and operations that have been stopped because of our intelligence programs -- many that the Dems want to shut down or gut.
INformation gained from CIA questioning has led to EVERY SINGLE ARREST of AL Quada leaders since 9/11. Information gained has given us a picture of AQ procedures, financial network, and how Leadership commiunicates with each other.
Chilling isn't it. Imagine, the President actually does not want Americans to be killed.
