Have to agree with you. Sounds to me like the author is jealous.
I didn't watch the program.
But that white blazer is ridiculous...
she looks like a pharmacist. LOL
knock off a mil and furnish her with a wardrobe. 15 mil to read a teleprompter for 22 mins. 5 nights a week? no wonder See B.S. stock is falling.

I wonder if it has ever occurred to the Powers-That-Be, that people who watch the news want.........well, THE NEWS!..........If I want H'wood gossip, I'll watch E! If I want pure politics, I'll watch C-SPAN. If I want to learn something, I'll watch Discovery Channel. If I want to cook something, I'll watch Food Channel. Ad infinitum......

"I'm left wondering why so many people who hate Katie bothered to watch her. I'm not a fan, I didn't watch."
For the same reason the entire towns used to turn out for public hangings. I missed it because I'm not familiar with the evening news broadcasts in my area. At 7:00 I turned on the TV to CBS only to find a show on Katie should have been anchoring, Entertainment Tonight. Did CBS even consider giving the anchor spot to a much more serious newswoman like Mary Hart.

What's worse is that it airs when people come home from work. They're tired, possibly a little grumpy looking for an update and the bottom line, and they get baby pictures, a causal styled news with questions about how they should end the problem. How about, end the problem with some freaking news, I'm trying to make dinner for my kids.

I thought her face looked quite strange - particularly her eyes. Maybe it was the botox, maybe she just was just flat out terrified that things were not looking very well on the other side of the camera.

OMG did you SEE THIS????
And for the first time in history that a female was allowed to deliver a network's evening news alone, Katie chose to wear an unfortunate white blazer - the result, no doubt, of some jokester lying to her face when Katie asked, "Does this make me look fat?" And the day after Labor Day, to boot!

that is something I definitely don't need to see first thing in the morning, lol

I didn't watch. I may catch the Limbaugh rebuttal this week. If I do "tune in" it'll be on DVR, and not live. So sponsors won't have me watching their ads. And if I save portions of the program, most won't be because of favorable things about the broadcast.
And I might tune in during other key events (like a new beheading video, death of senior officials at Al Qaeda, OBL's body recovered, another GOP win...) to see how she presents a news event that I already know about. I did the same with Danny Ratherbiased's program. I tune in to see the spin, not the reporting.
But I am hardly a regular viewer. I tuned out long ago and won't be back. The anchor as star is really a bad concept.
"Most trusted man in America"??? EVERY reporter should be trustworthy.
I want my politician to be known as "the most trusted" because we elect them with hopes that they will do what they said during the campaign.

I loved every minute of it. It was like seeing the first of the dinosaurs sniffing the air at the entrance to the Labrea Tar Pits. The world sits on the edge of a full scale religious war, crime syndicate states like North Korea and Iran inch closer to nuclear power, the GOP and Demorat parties are in self destruct mode, technology accelerates us into a changed world and Katie gives the world Tom and Katie Cruise baby pictures on the six o'clock news.
They are finally over the summit and on the slide into oblivion. Thank God, Dan Rather and CBS management.

At the end of the show, she asked viewers to submit a closing line for her to use in future broadcasts. I suggest, "Abandon hope, all ye who enter here..."

The only thing last night's show was lacking was Regis Philbin..............

It was a horrible makeup job, but I guess that was the best they could do, considering the subject. Fox has the best makeup people in the business, CBS and the others could learn a thing or two from them.

LOL..... someone suggested that no one should wear white on tv. The Penn State Nittany Lions do. But they're led by the premiere fashion authority, so it must be okay:
