HARRIS WINS REPUBLICAN NOMINATION
POISED TO DEFEAT BILL NELSON IN NOVEMBER
TAMPA, FLCongresswoman Katherine Harris received the Republican nomination for United States Senate this evening, and celebrated her landslide victory at campaign headquarters with nearly a hundred grassroots supporters in attendance. Harris received the nomination by winning nearly every one of Floridas 67 counties, demonstrating voters confidence in her leadership and ability to unseat Bill Nelson in November.
Congresswoman Harris states, I am thankful for the widespread support demonstrated by tonights strong victory. Im thankful for the personal sacrifices made by my family, staff and many dear friends who all united on my behalf because Florida deserves better than Bill Nelson. When elected to the Senate in November, I will finish the fight I started in the House and ensure that Florida remains a place where hard-working families can keep more of their hard-earned money while living in safe and affordable communities.
While the Harris campaign is very pleased with tonights election results, all of our energies will continue to be focused upon unseating the do-nothing liberal incumbent, Bill Nelson. Harris opponent has missed countless opportunities to provide the leadership Florida deserves in the United States Senate while she has a clear record of demonstrating leadership and delivering results for all Floridians.
While serving in the State Senate, as Secretary of State, and in the United States Congress, Katherine Harris has fulfilled her promises and fought for Floridas best interests. Throughout her tenure in public office, Harris has championed legislation to bolster Floridas economic development, cut taxes, reduce government spending and support traditional values. Katherine Harris will continue to do what is right for the people of Florida and work to advance their values as the next Republican U.S. Senator from the great state of Florida.

OK, and I'll mark you down as an arrogant moron who doesn't know what the hell you are talking about. Where do you get off spouting such crap?
NN probably does more work in a week than you do in a year. You show up out of nowhere and do nothing more than attempt to talk down to us, the grassroots, who have worked tirelessly in support of Ms. Harris. An effort which continues to win her ever office she has ever run for, including this one.
You've got one helluva nerve, chump.
Mine does. Everything is a problem for you in your Pinched Panties Posts.
From watching her posts.

I'm more concerned about Ms. Harris' working tirelessly in support of herself--she's got an image problem, and from what I've seen, she isn't willing to do anything about it. Hell, if she does try to do anything about it, some of her supporters are threatening to bolt.
An effort which continues to win her ever office she has ever run for, including this one.
You going to take the blame if this run isn't successful, or will you whine about not getting enough of other people's money?
Yeah, and some of them are the same folks who say we should vote for THEIR pubbie no matter what.
I'll retire when I'm dead, I'll have the rest of eternity to relax.
Harris's campiagn has been sabotaged from the start by "Loyal" Republicans trying to prevent her from going against the wishes the heads of the State party. That is the only reason she has had such a high turnover in staff, those she has hired have been out to throw a monkey wrench into her political machine.
You know like you have tried to do here today, by point out all her faults while saying you "support" her.
Some conservatives fight. Others just complain. I have no use for the latter.
We can disagree about how bad DeWine is, but even if you just look at it from the narrow standpoint of the NRA, Majority Leader Reid would be worse than Majority Leader Frist. For all I know, Reid as an individual senator may have NRA support. But if the Rats control the Senate, there is a better chance for gun-control legislation. Then, there are other little issues like national security.
I agree that Harris was sabotaged from the start. I was not part of that and was against it.
But now that her campaign is completely hopeless, I'm urging that we move on to other things, saving the Senate majority by focusing on the real races.

You are the most uninformed asinine poster in a long while. Just because you haven't followed Harris' campaign activities doesn't mean Harris, staff, and volunteers aren't out here day after day in the searing heat campaigning. You are swallowing the chicanery dished out by the MSM in quantities equal to triple venti lattes with pink sugar.
Instead of being informed, you keep proving yourself to be an idiot with each of your posts.
Well now that you have deemed her campaign totally hopeless please do move on to other more important things and leave this thread to those of us that never will give up hope and actual vote in Florida.
I do not share your opinion, and I am fairly certain I know more about the Harris campaign than you do.
You're wasting your time. Polls can be wrong, but not by this much. Candidates often come from behind, but not by this much. I wonder if your attraction to Harris lies in the very fact that she can't win?
It's none of your damned business how much I or anyone else is doing on her behalf. Suffice it to say we do plenty. That question is much better asked of you, who appear out of nowhere, in all likelihood don't even live in Florida, and have the gall to attempt to berate us for your self-righteous and arrrogrant preconceived notions of what we should be doing.
In addition, you pathetically attempt to insult the good people here for spending too much time on an internet forum, yet here you are, guilty as sin of the same "offense" of which you accuse others. There is no honor in double standards, and yours is no exception. Put that in your elitist pipe and smoke it.
Mark my words, Harris will beat Nelson in November, and it will be through the hard work of many of the people here, including myself. You, on the other hand, are nothing but a worthless agitator whom I sincerely doubt would have the guts to speak thusly face to face.
If you did, well, let it be said your trash-talk wouldn't last very long.
Good day to you. I am off to work on her campaign. And no, I will not do you the service of telling you what that work entails.
It has a lot more to do with the fact that I live in Florida and I am going to vote for her, don't you think? That's generally the way it works, you vote for those in your state instead of those outside of your state.
My time to waste, isn't it?
If my support of her reaches one person and that one person's support reaches one person......well soon enough it will have been worth it.
"soon enough it will have been worth it." Yeah, Cobra. Sure. See you on election night.
Look, I'm supporting Dick Mountjoy, our candidate against Dianne Feinstein in the California Senate race. But I'm not wasting any time or money on him. The race was over before it started, and we need to keep the Senate. Of course I would like to see Harris win. But since she can't, I'm not bothering with it. Of course I would vote for her if I lived in Florida. But that isn't the issue.
I've never heard of him, honestly shouldn't you be doing something to change that like Florida Freepers are doing, like other's are doing about Murtha?
Start a thread about him and his battle against Feinstein and get him noticed and supported.
That's what this thread is really all about.
I also supported the Marlins when they were the wild card to win the World Series and no one thought that they should even be there either, TWICE.
Elections aren't about who we like. It's about who dislikes us less and will harm us less. I think it's safe to say that DeWine has less contempt for us than Brown does. It's even safer to say that he will do us less harm.
You can help DeWine and other candidates not in your state by sending them a few bucks and talking up the importance of their races on sites like FReep. It ain't much, and it might matter.
I would do that if Mountjoy had a chance. He doesn't.
I'm not going to keep after you for helping Harris instead of other people. While I'd rather you focused on more promising races, something is always better than nothing.
Most "conservatives" do nothing, and they're the ones I have the biggest beef with. Semper Fi.
