Yes, she was the most conservative candidate ...

In that case I'll suggest that she'll win the general election and from this point on; anyone who bags on her is a troll, seeking to disrupt and divide! Conservatives can and will win! Just give 'em a chance ...

Harris' supporters actually seem motivated to participate in the election process. More power to 'em

As polarizing a character as Harris is, do you really expect to bring the other 50% of Republicans that voted to vote for her. What about the 80% that didnt get off the couch. You do know that independents and Dems are also allowed to vote in the general election?

Seems to me that several of the freepers who are sure she'll lose and are putting her down are from Texas. They had better hope that Kinky doesn't win there.....We'll all have the last laugh.

Truer words were never said. The continual rabid, brainwashed attacks on every aspect of her person, her figure, her campaign, and anything else their fevered brains could concoct are right out of DU.

I never thought I'd see the day. FR is not what it used to be.

Ha! Maybe you were sleeping during the last few CA election cycles. That's where the flying monkeys learned their licks. Now that she has survived the McClintock treatment, look for Harris to get the Bill Simon treatment from the GOP Powerbrokers.

I don't believe that "double residencies" are a problem that is confined to Florida. But even with the consistent fraud that is practiced by Dem'crats, they cannot always shift the vote sufficiently in their favor to successfully steal elections everywhere.

Shuttling back and forth to vote in TWO jurisdictions separated by a thousand miles or so on the same day gets expensive AND tiring.

Thank you. It was unclear to me whether it was a flag or something else in the photo. Good grief.

Harris is a sad excuse for a candidate against the dems. Her stupid comments about non-Christians being for sin lost her all the Jewish vote. Her stupid comments about being against separation of church and state lost her all the Baptist vote.

Nelson is weak first termer who did nothing. Very vulnerable if we have a large GOP turnout. Its time to get behind Katherine Harris. She got plenty of money to turn up the heat on Nelson and she can definately win. Its time to stir the Evangelical Christian base.

>>>No, it "Imam Harris" that denied that a jew like Coleman deserved to get elected. Only Christians.<<<

Christians consider "real Jews" as Christian brothers (and sisters). Ask Rabbi Daniel Lapin how Christians relate to real Jews. You will be surprised.

Dont expect her to get much from the RNC or the Republican Senate Campaign fund. They have some candidates who stand a much better chance of winning that need their support.

The attacks on her here are pretty empty, mostly ad hominems. That tells you a lot.

Based on that, if thats all they got, she will win it hands down.

Yeah... that's what we need. Elect more Evangelical Christians to office. Bang up job so far! [/sarc]

"As polarizing a character as Harris is, do you really expect to bring the other 50% of Republicans that voted to vote for her."

Yes. Unless they'd rather be represented by a Democrat. It's as simple as that.

"What about the 80% that didnt get off the couch."

Lazy folks who ought to be ashamed of themselves. Perhaps they missed the pictures of the Iraqi's braving threats of torture and bombings to vote in massive numbers. If you are too lazy to vote...SHUT UP.

"You do know that independents and Dems are also allowed to vote in the general election?"

Ummm...are you suggesting they would have voted for a Republican other than Harris? That is the point after all. None of the other Republican candidates could generate enough interest from republicans to vote for them. If you think they could have generated democrat votes...than maybe that explains why they didn't win a Republican primary.

I think a few of the Florida "freepers" had trouble with that complicated ballot in 2000 and still hold the results against Harris.

She faithfully and correctly performed the duties of her office as an elected Florida state government official in regard to the presidential election of 2000. Not one person has credibly alleged that she did otherwise.
But candidate Bush won that election, and that is the sum and substance of her "negatives." The shame of the GOP is that no leading Republican has come to her defense, not even by publicly stating that her role in the 2000 election was simply to ensure that the laws of the State of Florida governing presidential elections were properly executed.
