Couric uses enemy for ratings.

Was it Couric or CBS that made the big mistake?

Shame on CBS. Couric's premire lead-off was the disgusting image of a large pack of well fed, well armed Talliban. A pretty young reporteress mingled with our enemy and made a point that American troops were 'only 10 miles' away from that village that had previously been declared as cleared of the Talliban. Pity she could not have reported her dropping of a dime to facilitate the Calvary cleaning them out again - but that would have spoiled Katie Couric's lead story. Disgustingly anti-American,, but somehow satisfying to know that I won't waste another look-see at the CBS Evening snooze.

Our media does not understand that they are working with the enemy.

Imagine U.S. reporters going into Nazi Germany and interviewing the SS and providing their talking points to the US populace.

Un-freakin-believeable!

So now reporting on the war is anti-American?

If she'd opened with a flag-waving story praising our troops we'd be saying she's trying to run away from CBS's agenda.

I couldn't care less, don't watch broadcast or cable TV--I watch DVDs only--but come on.

They would never do that because then they would be the targets of the Taliban. They should ask themselves why they are not the targets now, but the answer would be too troubling. (The Taliban LIKES what you're doing.)

We all knew something like this was coming. Just let the Kool-Aid crowd entertain each other. This family won't be watching.

I guess you missed the 'news' - she could have reporting the where abouts of the enemy! And been a hero for CBS and to Americans. And who cares what you watch.

Cavalry. Calvary is a hill.

Sorry, pet peeve of mine, and for some reason, it seems like I see it every day or three lately.

It was disgusting and distasteful, and I didn't watch, only read, but I'm sure they will smugly mark it as memorable. Don't forget their other little surprise, long awaited pic, such as it was, of little Suri Cruise. They are really pushing Qatie on us, 'Love her, you must love her!'.

Anyone else here remember "Hanoi Jane?" During the Vietnam war Jane Fonda went to Hanoi, called the US troops criminals, and the viet-cong freedom fighters or some such drivel.

Thanks to that, I have never watched anything with Hanoi Jane in it, never will. Since Ms. Couric seems to be cut from the same cloth, I guess the same goes for her too.

Of course CBS was used,, in exchange for the lead off
story on an important night in Katie's life - her
ratings. So,, why not help the enemy's PR,, if it will
sell some soap - and you don't give a damn about how
long it takes to win a war. It's all so Conkiteish, CBS's
ace Vietnam policy maker.

Correction to your post:

Our media DOES understand that they are working with the enemy.

And they are enjoying it. I didn't watch, but when I read that the opening story was an embed with the enemy....then I knew its just more SEE BS.

You might want to check in on Thursday, Rush is going to have a 90 second segment.

He promises it will be 'provocative'!

Thanks, I needed that. I'm way to blind with anger. It was 'the last straw' for me. I wouldn't have
cared, it I hadn't known it was going to be a more highly
rated show than CBS usually gets. Why else would
they pay that puss l5 mill a year!

Still sick to my stomach at the anti American tone of the broadcast. Followed up by nancyboy cooper telling us that Afghanistan is soo much worse than we know.

The media is determined to be wing of Al qaeda.

Can someone explain to me again, why Rush felt the need to participate in this America hater's show.

Inquiring minds want to know if Rush owns Viacom stock or is just plain so desperate for attention from the MSM that he jumped right on board Couric's bandwagon.

On what planet does that happen? Reporters get these exclusives because they don't reveal such things. The first time they did, that would be the last time they get such an interview, or anyone else did. I would have no problem if they didn't get such interviews, but this is a surprise to you?

And been a hero for CBS and to Americans.

How so? The reporter would be considered an agent for America, and then all reporters would be targeted and we'd get no news from the region. Is that what you want?

And who cares what you watch.

How about stop being such a big baby and simply discuss the issues? Oh, wait--it's obvious you haven't a clue about the issues so you have to be a petulant retard.
