I watched it...same drivel, same liberal bias, same doom-and-gloom reporting without context...but new graphics!
She's bound to turn around the spiraling ratings and save broadcast news!

1993 ragheads tried to blow up the Twin Towers. They failed to bring them down. They continued to attack America and her allies in every possible way. They vowed to try again, and they succeeded on 9/11/01.
perky should stop fe!!ating her way to the top of the News Department and come up for air... the lack of oxygen is causing her brain damage!

By the way, when I switched back (couldn't watch the whole thing) they were juxtaposing Bush with Hitler and Stalin. They were commenting on his speech from today, but I didn't think we needed to see that image to understand CBS' perspective on Bush.

One more thing (something about Katie p's me off)...the "Free Speech" segment, while perhaps interesting in theory, has already begun its fade to black when they put the "Super Size Me" idiot on to act in front of a camera, in a small room, by himself, pretending to be concerned about what he was saying.
By the time Rush gets there (on Thursday, that's how bad it was), it will be known as a "Free Bathroom Break" after listening to uninformed losers spout lame platitudes and lefty drivel.

Caught the end of this movie, "One Day in September (1999)" about a week ago on IFC.
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000059H77?v=glance A far cry from Mr. Guilt Spinberg's movie Munich. Once the hostages were dead, they had footage I've never seen of the dead bodies. One of the dead athlete's pants were down around his ankles while he was all bloody face down dead.
Now, thanks to more information on RIP torture practices, we know the rest of his poor tragic end. God Bless their souls.

I'm so glad I got rid of TV in my house 2 years ago. Man, the crap that is presented to the public as "News" is astounding!
Also, I always thought it was unimportant who was reading the news at night ... it was not supposed to be about the news reader, the focus was to be on the content of the information ... or am I wrong?

Exactly correct. I don't think I've ever met a person who religiously watched one particular person on TV to get the news. I never cared either.

""Of course"? Really? Did Katie Couric just acknowledge that despite the multiplicity of terrorist attacks on US interests during his administration - from the first bombing of the WTC in 1993, to Khobar Towers, the African embassy bombings and the attack on the USS Cole - Bill Clinton failed to recognize the threat and launch a war on terror? Is Katie really admitting that it took 9/11 - and George Bush - for the US to take terrorism seriously?"
Great Catch!
Now her remarks and your clarification are on Free Republic.
Even leftwing MSM mediots like Perky Chunky know that there was no WOT under the Clintoons.

"She wore white? I look forward to her wearing black if the pubs hold the senate and the house this november."
Didn't she do that the morning after GW clobbered Moi Kerry after the November 2004 Election.

She probably thinks WWII began with Pearl Harbor. For the American left, WW2 began with Germany's invasion of the Soviet Union.
